ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) — Alaska State Troopers have arrested the mother of Bristol Palin's boyfriend on drug charges.
Sherry L. Johnston was arrested Thursday after troopers served a search warrant on a Wasilla home. The 42-year-old Johnston has been charged with six felony drug counts.

Okay, here’s my honest opinion. If it were one of Obama’s daughters who became pregnant (unmarried) by a high school dropout with a Mom arrested for drugs, I danged sure wouldn’t consider Obama unfit to serve as president, no more than I consider VP Dick Cheney unfit because his daughter is a lesbian.
I don’t consider former President Bill Clinton unfit to serve because his brother was arrested for drugs, or because Roger Clinton impregnated a woman and (for PR reasons) had to marry her, after refusing to do so until a lawsuit was filed.
I do consider Clinton unfit to serve because of his willingness to commit perjury, and obstruction of justice (a crime you or I would be jailed for).
I hope I am intelligent enough to not pass judgement on a candidate based on something a family member did. I would prefer to look at the candidate and their record, actions.
I’d put good money on it to be pot (and you are right- it actually WAS legal in Alaska for a while and Palin herself admitted smoking it)
The reason I feel certain if because she looks too not guilty for it to have been anything harder. At 40 with a life of hard drugs you look a HELL of a lot worse.
Looks like I missed the biggest achievement of the Camelot legacy, the story of how Rosemary Kennedy was destroyed for political expediency.
And to think how Palin has been villified for not aborting, and for loving and caring for her “inconvenient” child.
Of course, this is not Carolyn’s fault. However, I can’t believe how the media has treated Palin, compared to the Kennedys.

I hope Bristol has not been using illegal drugs. It can’t be good for her unborn child if she has.
So what if she has? Is she responsible for the actions of the mother of the boy that is going out with her daughter?
