This holiday season is a time to examine who’s been naughty and who’s been nice, but I’m unhappy with my findings. The problem is this: We liberals are personally stingy.
Liberals show tremendous compassion in pushing for generous government spending to help the neediest people at home and abroad. Yet when it comes to individual contributions to charitable causes, liberals are cheapskates.
Arthur Brooks, the author of a book on donors to charity, “Who Really Cares,” cites data that households headed by conservatives give 30 percent more to charity than households headed by liberals. A study by Google found an even greater disproportion: average annual contributions reported by conservatives were almost double those of liberals.
Other research has reached similar conclusions. The “generosity index” from the Catalogue for Philanthropy typically finds that red states are the most likely to give to nonprofits, while Northeastern states are least likely to do so.
The upshot is that Democrats, who speak passionately about the hungry and homeless, personally fork over less money to charity than Republicans — the ones who try to cut health insurance for children.

Charity isn’t charity if the funds are stolen from you at gunpoint.
Liberals don’t really care about the poor and needy: they care about using their plight to gain an wield power over the rest of us.
Democrats are extremely generous...with other people’s money...
Conservatives generally are better people. Simplistic, but true.
When it gets beyond money given to time, goods and services, liberals really start looking like the frauds they are. Pushing the government to give taxpayers money to liberal causes isn’t charity, it is theft. Conservatives who know what charity is, recognize theft for what it is, plundering.
That reminds me, I need to send money to the Wasilla Bible Church for rebuilding after that arson attack.

There’s nothing stopping those who want higher taxes from sending in more of their own $$$. But somehow, they never do.

That is because of the guilt conservatives have for ripping off the lower and middle class. They think that if they contribute they will wipe away their sins.

As a Christian, I don't just give to the poor because I have some extra. In fact, I am even more likely to give to the poor when times are tough -- because when times are tough, I see needy people who, unlike the chronic layabouts, were gainfully employed a few months ago, but are down on their luck -- and they've got kids. It's the kids that get to my heart. And the Salvation Army is my (and my church's) favorite partnership for administering my charity dollars. By far.
So "Saint" Nick here is all wet. He hasn't the slightest idea what motivates someone like me to give. And it dang sure isn't to an art museum or ivy league mausoleum.
Stingy liberals? The truth is that conservatives HAVE more money because we work more and earn more. AND we are more generous.
Unfortunatley for him, what he found is that it was true! His fellow liberals are a bunch of tightwads.

In other words, they use the homeless & the needy during election time every single time and discard them from their memories after. It’s all done for their own personal financial gain as well as to pay off those that financed them with political & financial kickbacks.
The homeless and needy will always be the homeless and needy because liberals in power want it that way in order for them to retain that $power$.
