Israel moved closer to invading Gaza, saying Thursday it had wrapped up preparations for a broad offensive after Palestinian militants fired about 100 rockets and mortar shells across the border in two days.
Israel's foreign minister brushed off a call for restraint from Egypt's president, and Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert made a direct appeal to Gaza's people to pressure their leaders to stop the barrages. But the attacks showed no signs of ending. By nightfall, three rockets and 15 mortar shells had exploded in Israel.

It is good timing, too, US will be reluctant to intervene during the transition.
Watch how Israel will be labeled the aggressor in all this.
Israel forcefully kicked it’s own people out of the Gaza...and for what? Now Hamas has missiles launched from Gaza into southern Israel. Blows out that silly moniker of trading ‘land for peace’.
They have been promisiing to do this for ever. Go ahead and just DO IT!
Make it part of Israel and kill all who appose the move already and be done with it finally for crying out loud.
I hope Israel really does it this time, and kicks ass and re-occupies Gaza and gives the Palis an ultimatum: Either be a peaceful neighbor or a dead one.

Israel is ALWAYS labeled the aggressor. It’s time Israel stopped worrying about how others thought of her and took care of business the way it needs to. The same goes for the U.S.
No nukes needed. Dresden comes to mind though.
