George W. Bush first president in history not to get lifetime Secret Service security detail
President George W. Bush will be the first president in history not to receive lifetime Secret Service protection, according to McClatchey.
Instead, he will only receive the protection for only 10 years due to a law that states that any president elected after January 1, 1997 and/or his or her spouse will only get Secret Service protection for 10 years.
"He'll be the first one to receive it for 10 years," Malcolm Wiley, Secret Service spokesman told McClatchey.
The Bushes life post-White House seems pretty cushy despite the shortened security detail. They plan to move to Dallas to a roughly $2 million, 8,500-square-foot home around January 20th, when the new administration takes office.
They will also receive a Dallas office, staffers, a travel budget, medical coverage and a $196,700 annual pension - all paid for by the taxpayers, according to McClatchey.

I can’t believe this with the large number of leftwing, liberal, kook DemocRATS that are out there running around who want to see President Bush dead. He should have double the Secret Service detail for the rest of his life. JMO.

And Obama won’t need a secret service detail. He will have his own Gestapo and after he effects the repeal of the 22nd Amendment (limit to 2 terms)he won’t have to ever worry about being out of office. Hail, Obama for the next 30 years. Remember Castro has been in power in Cuba for 50 years.
