I saw a movie once where lots of people turned into brain eating zombies because of some comet or asteroid. I hope it doesn’t happen again......

Too late.

If you want to worry about it, that's fine. But this comet is going to miss us by 37 million miles (or more), which is about 150 time further from earth than the moon, so I will not lose an instant of sleep over this one.

No, and no other leader would either. Job # 1: Crowd Control.

I’m just gonna guess, if one doesn’t see a tail, one is about to experience this:

(might want to kill the soundtrack)

and so will be kissing one’s own tail goodbye

Night of the comet. The only people safe were behind sheet steel in the theater.

So IOW: Same $#!t Different Year.

Swell.

Your calculations are a little off based on the info provided in post #12 (from Chinapost.com) (14.5 times Earth to moon average)

Come out to approximately 3.46 million miles.

I'm not worried because it wouldn't do any good. Just trying to figure why the powers that be decided to rape us at this point in time.

Maybe it's all coincidence. who knows?

Seems like even reporters in China are screwy. Your info based on .4 AU, was correct. Sorry
