What did they expect to happen when they reduced the death tax? Of course you'll get more of it. If they jack up the death tax to 100% they should be able to eliminate death. < /s>

It’s making fun of the way pressure groups grab innocuous data and make it into horrifying headlines.
The joke is that the population is up 1.2%. More people died than ever before... because more were alive than ever before. Of course, the problem is you have to get the joke to get the joke...
