Palin attacks media... Is it Sexism? (NO YOU IDIOTS IT'S LIBERALISM)

WASHINGTON - Sarah Palin, still smarting over coverage of her vice presidential run, calls the media's reporting on her family "very scary" and says there may be "a class issue" that explains the more sympathetic treatment of Caroline Kennedy.

The Alaska governor also took a swipe at Katie Couric over the CBS interview in which Palin stumbled badly, saying: "Katie, you're not the center of everyone's universe."

Carl Cameron is not a conservative, he is a smarmy opportunist “moderate” (whatever this is) ala Joe Scarborough (who was a Republican congressman). They are spineless cowards who bash real conservatives to placate liberals. They hate and fear Palin, and having been supportive of Bush is not a conservative litmus test.

Regardless of whatever political stance, Cameron’s claim that Palin doesn’t know what Africa is, is invalid. Cameron claims to have it from a McCain staffer (which they denied). Why can’t CAMERON come forward and name his source? The use of unsubstantiated, sourceless claims will get redmarked in any college paper. But I guess as long as it’s against Palin, everything goes. It’s not McCain staffers that are the cowards... they rallied to Palin’s defense. Cameron is the coward. Either disclose your “source” (which could be anyone, even from the Democrats) or shut up. Cameron did not come forward, so we can call BS on him.

If you are not satisfied with it, and prefer to believe unsourced anonymous claims and Cameron’s invalid reporting, it’s maybe because you want to believe it.

Isn’t a troll a liberal who posts here? Babu, can I give you about 50 links to my anti-liberal posts here? Would you bother reading one if I took the time to show you?

Everyone of the issues that you raised have been openly vetted. The Africa as a country thing was a lie made up by a liberal blogger who sent the story to Carl Cameron and another reporter, who fell for the whole story. Carl Cameron was made to look like a complete fool for not vetting the story, himself. The other guy was a liberal, so , it didn’t matter.

There is nothing weird about the clothes. No one is asking Michelle Obama to give back the designer clothes that she accepted before the tape was put on her mouth and she was locked away in a hotel room. It was only after she re-appeared that she started wearing off the rack clothes.
I’m pretty sure that the Tina Fey for Halloween line, was a joke.

I guess that you haven’t been paying attention.

Are you talking about the story about the hoax? The hoax was a hoax. It’s everywhere on the internet.

11/12/2008 Fox news reports that Cameron was not the victim of a hoax but that MSNBC and NY Times were. Fox stands by the story to this day as far as I can find.

The liberal blogger I think you are referring to, Eisenstadt, in Nov. published that he was the source of the Africa thing and said he made it all up. The liberal media flew with it and made Cameron look bad. FOX quickly reported that Eisenstadt wasn’t the source forcing MSNBC and NY Times to retract their claims and admit THEY didn’t vet Eisenstadt.

So what about the Africa claim? Per Fox website, “The hoax was limited to the identity of the source in the story about Palin _ not the Fox News story itself. While Palin has denied that she mistook Africa for a country, the veracity of that report was not put in question by the revelation that Eisenstadt is a phony”

Here is the last link.
http://www.foxnews.com/printer_friendly_wires/2008Nov12/0,4675,PalinHoax,00.html

Anything retracting the story by Fox? Not that I can find. Cameron and Fox stand by it.

I’ve given enough comment on the Fey thing

Any worthwile comment on my post No.41? Or is it all you have to say?

I haven't heard you critizising her. All you do is repeat liberal talking points and media mantras. From your comments on AP, Fox and Cameron one can glance an discomforting trust you still put in the MSM.

BTW a troll doesn't have to be liberal. There are also trolls on the right here who shill for their favorite candidate.

The hoax was a hoax. It’s everywhere on the internet.

Oh then it must be true. It's on snopes and factcheck./s

11/12/2008 Fox news reports that Cameron was not the victim of a hoax but that MSNBC and NY Times were. Fox stands by the story to this day as far as I can find.

Sure... because they are too cowardly to admit they were also victims of the hoax. "Standing by the story" is worthless if Cameron won't disclose his source. If the source is valid, Cameron has to disclose it. Otherwise it's just amateurish grandstanding. Again you seem to take every word by Cameron and Fox for gospel.

The liberal media flew with it and made Cameron look bad.

There is one MSM and Cameron is part of it. He is not the "victim" of the liberal media you paint him to be. What made him look bad was his own reckless and amateurish reporting.

Anything retracting the story by Fox? Not that I can find. Cameron and Fox stand by it.

The Obama camp also stand by their lies. Yet they won't disclose dozens of documents on Obama. I guess their word is good enough for you. Only because they stand by a lie, doesn't make it true. Palin and McCain's staff called it absurd and offered counter evidence (Palin's knowledge about Darfur i.e.). Yet Cameron standing by his claim, while not disclosing his "source" is good enough for you.

Figures. You believe it, because you want it to be true. Meh.

Just answer me one question: Why hasn't Cameron disclosed his source?

Yes on 41, see the post I just made. The links you gave were honestly not news to me except one. I’ve heard the people who were not present at the prepping acting as character witnesses and I was glad they did. Did you read the last one? It quotes a person who says they were there, said she called it a country and considered it a “human mistake” - fine...but that is not the story is it?

I’m sorry we don’t agree but nevertheless we are still on the same team and it is not productive for conservatives to name call other conservatives. I am conservative first.

For the record, I was a Romney supporter. I wasn’t thrilled about McCain and Palin gave me hope. I’m trying not to criticize - I’m trying to bring questions I have into an intellectual group.

Google the story and pick any other source you may agree with other than your own opinion.

I don’t know of any reporter who would disclose a confidential source. I accept that. That in itself does not prove the story wrong. We have to go by our opinion of the integrity of the reporter which is why I’ve asked you repeatedly to provide any proof of the claim that Cameron is a liberal as you originally stated but then changed that he’s a moderate. Other than it being your opinion slamming him, I have listened to his reports for years and I think he’s been pretty fair. He’s no CNN, MSNBC or other network useful idiot.

If I thought you’d read one thing I wrote in strong oppostion to Obama’s scam candidacy, I’d take the time to provide you my previous FR posts on that.

If a troll is anyone shilling for their candidate, does that make you a troll?

No a troll is someone trashing other candidates to pimp for his... without adding anything worthwile. There are some recent sign-ups who only focus on trashing Palin. I wasn't the one calling you a troll.

Google the story and pick any other source you may agree with other than your own opinion.

Yawn. I provided a bunch of links above. Not only did the McCain staffers deny it, they offered evidence of Palin knowing a good deal about African issues. You of course ignore it.

I don’t know of any reporter who would disclose a confidential source. I accept that. That in itself does not prove the story wrong.

Nope. It's in ANY case worse and less reliable then a disclosed source. I don't accept Cameron hiding his sources anymore than i.e. the AP citing anonymous Iraqis claiming US war crimes. If you have a source, name it or at least alert that it's reliabiliy is dubious.

I can imagine how Cameron got his story. He probably did talk with some McCain staffer about the campaign... and pressed him to cite something about Palin's inexperience. The staffer probably said something truthful about Palin having a minor verbal slip about Africa, or similar irrelevant non-story. Cameron then twisted it into "Palin doesn't KNOW that Africa is a continent". This was the story he went with... which was denied by all involved.

If Cameron would disclose his source (what does the staffer have to fear?), the source would probably say it's not true and twisted out of context. Cameron is a coward, because he is probably the one who made up/twisted the statement, and won't come forward.

Cameron is a liberal as you originally stated but then changed that he’s a moderate.

Liberal, moderate, RINO, whatever. Cameron was all giddy and smarmy trashing Palin. Told me enough about him. I didn't backtrack anything.

If I thought you’d read one thing I wrote in strong oppostion to Obama’s scam candidacy, I’d take the time to provide you my previous FR posts on that.

Keep it. It was a rhetorical question directed at your trust into MSM baseless sources. You apparently believe it as long as it's anti-Palin.

I will never convince you that I am not anti-Palin as much as I have concerns about her being the future face of the party. That was my original post. It’s a lot of eggs in one basket. I am seriously not looking for a fight with a conservative nor am I wanting to put down someone else’s candidate. However, I do appreciate a good discussion about our candidates without taking it or getting personal. If I wanted a fight I’d go put the smack down on some )!#*$ at Huffington.

Sorry, I thought I made the point earlier...if it is true, then the staffer has a lot to fear...namely an end to their political future because they told Cameron something that was very private.

I'll believe you that you aren't anti-Palin, but you are stubborn in your trust into MSM sources (you deem reliable) and hard to convince otherwise.

The fact (open named source!) that Palin talked knowledgable about the Darfur crisis proves that the claim, that she doesn't know Africa is a continent, is patently false. This is what I meant when claiming that you ignored my links.

As I said Cameron most likely twisted an minor glitch entirely out of proportion to bash Palin, and now is too cowardly to admit it or disclose his "source".

if it is true, then the staffer has a lot to fear...namely an end to their political future because they told Cameron something that was very private.

You mean like McClellan trashing Bush? Someone trashing Palin has nothing to fear. Bashing Palin is the mainstream. He'll be a celebrated hero for the left and the media or some RINO.

Very good points. I read the link and remember her stating her concern about the Darfur crisis. I should have acknowledged that point. I’m being a stickler for the detail...I think something happened and would put it into the minor category like you have but that’s not the same as denying anything happened.

I think you’re right that someone twisted an honest glitch and took a minor point out of context, but I believe it was someone in the camp who did that and was in the framework of other things this person didn’t like about SP. They won’t come forth because their political future with the republican party would be toast. They betrayed the party by telling Cameron. Cameron is a reporter so of course when they made a point to tell him, they crossed a line.

I’m sure they (staff) all played hard, left what they had on the field and were emotional and drained afterwards - in the midst of being consumed with woulda, coulda, shoulda, someone was ticked about the SP choice and held her responsible. It was McCain’s show and those who loved McCain may not have loved SP.

Had they won, they would have been all celebration and no regrets/backstabbing.
