“We all hope that Gavin Newsom wins the nomination so the Republicans get a chance,” GOP analyst Allan Hoffenblum noted.

It is a sign of a more moderate GOP that all three support abortion rights.

Oh really? I thought it was a sign of a more leftist GOP leadership that brought us a crushing burden of debt!

Thus goes the line from ‘Operation Petticoat’— “In confusion there is profit”.

If the Republicans in CA nominate a pro abortion candidate, then we might as well vote for a Democrat.

One of the core principles of conservatism is right to life.

Any politician willing to “compromise” on abortion is willing to compromise on anything.

It doesn’t much matter who is CA guv, given that we have this permanent dem state house majority. We threw out Grey Davis, but kept the rest of the problem in Sacramento.

The thundering herd of RINOS in the Republican Party has scared me off of them. I have no use for these lilly livered varmints.

It is a sign of something, but "moderation" ain't it. The Late Great State of Colleyfornya is just about beyond redemption.

It is a sign of a more moderate neutered GOP that all three support abortion rights.

I wonder if Democrats are eager to nominate Your Father's Oldsmobile when there are newer models - Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa or EssEff Mayor Gavin Newsom - that have been road-tested, without having rusted in the driveway.

"We all hope that Gavin Newsom wins the nomination so the Republicans get a chance," GOP analyst Allan Hoffenblum noted.

Villaraigosa would be a better pick. An emptier suit you won't find.

As an executive I suspect she’s emminently capable. Perhaps on issues that are outside the realm of running an organization, she might - gasp - defer to the will of the people she serves.

Is Whitman originally from Illinois? We might have to watch for some pay-go in the form of “Buy it Now” positions.. ;-)
