The MSM loves this REAL distraction, while calling REAL corruption a distraction.

What an adorable pup! I see that they come in various colors, so yours could look completely different.

NO NO NO NO.... We just got a Labradoodle. Now my husband will kick the dog every time he sees it if Obama gets the same kind!

I suppose you could donate it to the White House...

He'd just as well get one that'll dutifully do to the White House Lawn just what the master intends to do to the rest of the Country

Notice the “we’re looking at shelters” line. He has now politicized getting the dog. And, let’s be honest, how frequently do either of those breeds show up at a shelter?

a Portuguese water hound.

Just trying to copy a Kennedy... in this case Fat Ted, who ironically has one.

Well, maybe it can be trained to handle an emergency like Ted driving the presidential limo.

Actually, one of the very few things the Obamas have done I agree with is having grandma move in to the White House so the girls will have a close family member around all the time.

Now the dog thing? This is a joke.

Portuguese water hounds are very big dogs with a lot of energy. I doubt it would be well suited for the White House. Unless Grandma acts as dog sitter as well.

If the US is anything like New Zealand, the answer will be almost never. This is because most breeds have a “Rescue” service for unwanted dogs of that breed.

So, for example, if I grew tired of my German Shepherds, I would call the “German Shepherd Rescue” which would pick up my dogs, find a temporary home for them and, with the help fo the breeder, re-home them to new owners that were suitable.

Other breeds have similar services. Only mutts end up at the animal shelters.

Dachshunds are hounds...I'm just sayin'.

My opinion of BHO and the First Harpy might warm just a smidgen if they got a member of the cutest and most adorable of all canine breeds.

Dachshunds? I've only known a few personally, but I've never met one which liked me. A dog has to be bred with a mean streak to chase badgers (Dachs is German for badger), and every one I've met thinks I might be part badger.

” Biden’s father calling him “Champ” as he was growing up”
more likely:
“ Biden’s father calling him “Chump” as he was growing up”

***Obama: First dog will be Labradoodle or hound***

This reminds me of the un-PC joke about the mayor of Phillidelphia getting rid of the police German shepherds and replacing them with coon hounds because they are not having a problem with Germans.

Very un-PC! Two weeks of “diversity training” for me! If they can catch me!

He should get a Sheepdog. He's going to need something to control all the sheeple that will be coming there looking for their freebies.

Given the love affair the MSM has with this empty suit, I’m thinking — LAP DOG!
