KC Star chosen as it has at least one alleged fact closer to the truth. Most media mis-report $34,000 rather than $43,200. Nobody mentions this excludes penalties which the Treasury Secretary will be able to waive for himself.

So, when does he start his mandatory prison time for tax evasion like any of us would had we done the same thing?
Oh, wait..

As Steve Martin once said about how to earn a million dollars and not pay any taxes on it:
First, earn a million dollars.
Second, DON'T PAY YOUR TAXES.
Third, when the IRS knocks on your door and asks why you didn't pay your taxes, remember these two words "I...FORGOT."

OK, SO his character and judgement is impeccable. He is not a greedy self serving petty egoist who thinks taxes are for the little people ... like Charlie Rangel. This was all just a “mistake”
Why should a guy who is too stupid to understand his own tax forms,
or too stupid to hire a competent CPA to do his taxes....
be made the next US Treasury Secretary?
Should we taxpayers feel a tingle down our legs about his judgment? In the next 12 months we will be expecting him to guide an even dumber person (the prez select) in handing out a $1 trillion dollar “stimulus”

Standard liberal mentality: “The rules don’t apply to us”!
The Clinton’s can take office with a clear conflicts of interest.
Geithner doesn’t need to pay his taxes.
BO doesn’t need to prove his citezenship.

I still say that 0bama should have nominated Bernie Madoff for Treasury Secretary, if they’re going to engage in thievery and fraud, go with a master, not these pikers like Geithner.

Detected? If I had 40K in back taxes since '01 I detect that the IRS would already own my house.

Smart Candidates in upcoming special elections should jump on these stories while they are hot to get on local media outlets, including music and other non-ideologiological outlets that reach voters in their district.
Milk every angle of the story:
- Corruption that his penalties will be waived
- Too Big to fail as messianic appointee
- The Stimulus package we should all follow. If we all failed to pay Federal Taxes, we'd stimulate the economy much more than any pork from crooked politicians or a crooked Treasury Secretary.
Stay on message with a quotable, memorable sound bite. Don't confuse the topic by bringing in Jeremiah Wright or abortion or any other distraction that would detract from the point of the sound bite.

Communist USA Today completely glosses over this guy's criminal tax problem as well as his hiring an illegal problem. You and I would be in jail. They also describe Hitlery CRinton's hearing as "welcome" relief to Bush's policies which got us into an "illegal" war.
Richardson: Crook
Geithner: Crook
Hitlery: Crook
Obama: Crack Addict / Drug Pusher
Biden: Plagiarist
Dodd: Mortgage Crook
Frank: Criminal Homosexual Prostitution
Rangel: Real Estate Crimes
Need I continue?

The fact that a Treasury Secretary is a tax cheat will make no difference. He'll get confirmed, with at most a mild suggestion that he not do it again.
Like Hillary; they mildly suggested (nonbinding) that no foreign entity donate money to the Bill Clinton Presidential Library fund, and she said, to the Fund? OK!
The Senate is acting like they are afraid of The 0ne- they don't want to bother him at all.
