thank you for posting that link
For all his faults, President Bush cared mostly for securing the nation. Our country’s best interests were always foremost in the man’s heart.
Not so with that POS taking office tomorrow.
“I think many people will miss Pres. Bush in the months ahead.”
Amen to that. I’m going to devise a bumper sticker that says: “Miss Dubya yet?” It’ll be on my truck right after the first terror attack on the U.S. after 0 takes over.
Thank you Kristinn
Amen. Bush will be here in Midland tomorrow evening. I won’t get to attend since I will be the only reporter not covering it due to a school board meeting.
But, it is exciting....just crazy. I didn’t like some things he did, but I have to say thank you for the good things he did do.
Ohh..that’s beautiful kristinn! I couldn’t have said it better!
I don't know how you did it, but you helped some former wishy-washy Canadians see the folly of our (at the time) Liberal government.
Election after election, my country voted more and more conservative until we got Stephen Harper.
Harper is not perfect, but he's way ahead of whoever is in second place. ;-)
Also, by fighting the War on Terror, you have kept all of us in North America safe from terror attacks. I thank you for that as well.
I was thrilled to welcome you, and Mrs. Bush, on your visit to Ottawa in 2004. I was the one with the homemade sign with the picture of you in the Stetson. I loved that you smiled when you saw it.
You more than made us smile when you spoke at Parliament Hill. A reporter asked what you thought about all the protesters outside giving you the finger, and you said (paraphrasing) “I don't know much about that, but I got a great 5 finger wave at the airport.”
:-D
You are so smart, and gracious!
You warmly thanked us for the welcome, and you stuck it to a stupid reporter at the same time.
I sincerly hope that you and Mrs. Bush enjoy your well deserved rest in Dallas, and any where else you decide to go.
Thank you from Fanfan, in Canada.
Amen, Kristinn! God Bless you, and God Bless President Bush!
Thank you, President Bush!
Thank you, Mr. President. Thank you for serving our country. Thank you for keeping us safe. History will remember you well.
Thank you President George W. Bush and Vice President Richard Cheney. You have served your nation well and I am so grateful to you both.
May God bless President Bush and our lovely First Lady, Vice President Cheney and our awesome Second Lady as they depart that cesspool known as D.C.
Thanks for the link! Got my message sent off a bit ago and already received the reply from Karl. ;*)
Nicely said!
May God bless them and their families. And a heart felt thank you as well.
I agree, that today, despite any problems we’ve had with President Bush, this is not the time to dwell on those. Only time to appreciate what he has done over the past eight years. Many times his only choices to make were the bad choice, or the even worse choice.
All day I’ve been very melancholy knowing this is his last day. I know many who have been counting down the days, but I believe in due time, they will realize that you don’t appreciate what you have until it’s gone, and their new emperor, indeed has no clothes.
Do you remember what you were doing eight years ago tonight? I do.
Elegantly worded and heartfelt, Kristinn. Thanks for reminding us of all the good things he brought to the office and our nation. We’ll miss him long after he’s gone, beginning Tuesday, Jan. 20th.

God bless President George W. Bush and First Lady Laura Bush! I will miss them... big time.
My tagline says it all: No terrorist attacks on U.S. soil since 9/11/01. Thank you President Bush.
And thank you, President Bush, for Supreme Court Justices Roberts and Alito.
Yes, I do! We were there as well. What fun... can't believe that was 8 long years ago...
"Bill Clinton! We have you surrounded..." ;-)
Hope we're in DC repeating that event on January 19, 2013...
