If you adjust Reagan’s numbers for population growth, it would put his viewership in 2009 at approximately 56.4 million viewers. If you adjust 0bama to 1981 numbers, it would put his number of viewers at 28 million. In other words, Reagan had about 33% more viewers. Nothing like trying to spin the news.

That’s not accurate, they forgot to count the seagulls in awe watching from above.

How dare they!

I am so fortunate to have been alive during his time. How lucky we all were.

I must have missed this story on AP,Al-Reuters. Obama will be the worst P since Jimmah, I have no doubt.

And that, my friends, was nearly 30 years ago...

..... when the U.S. population was 229 million. That is 76 million less than it is today.

If you adjust 0bama to 1981 numbers, it would put his number of viewers at 28 million. In other words, Reagan had about 33% more viewers. Nothing like trying to spin the news.

Now, there you go again.

Reagan may have had more viewers in absolute numbers.
Reagan may have had more viewers as a percent of the population.
Reagan may have had more accomplishments in his public career before taking office as President of the United States (okay, so did every other president in our history).
Reagan may even have respected the Oval Office and the Constitution far more than any Obama voter alive (or dead).

Still, Obama had far more media support and dramatically more news articles about him: President Barack Obama's inauguration generated an unprecedented 35,000 stories in the world's major newspapers, television and radio broadcasts over the past day -- about 35 times more than the last presidential swearing-in.
Obama also wins the press-leg-tingle competition.
Obama wins for most support from America's enemies.
Obama wins for most unconstitutional goals (more than 30, shutting out Reagan who scored a zero in this newly important category).
And that ties the Great Communicator and our new Dear Leader.

The tie breaker is dollars spent, and it looks like Obama will take the lead shortly, wasting more this month than Reagan spent in a typical year ... And remember, the democrats would say that's Obama's money he's spending, not ours, but "when you spread the wealth around, everyone benefits".

Thinking about Reagan giving the last good years of his life to our country, only to have the voters turn our future over to such a man, makes me sad. Reagan left our children a shining city on a hill, and the usurper is just going to leave them a pile of debt and a shredded Constitution. May God have mercy on the United States of America, the last best hope of man on earth.

Are you always that optimistic? I can't imagine The One surprising us by being as effective as Jimmy Carter. I can't imagine our economy emerging from 2012 with unemployment as low as Carter's 7.8%, inflation as low as Carter's 14.7%, and the prime interest rate as low as Carter's 21.5%. I will cheer if ordinary, decent Americans are able to limit the damage to that level.

Sounds great, until you consider all the folks (like me) who live-streamed the ceremony on the internet (at home, in the office, wherever). There were also a lot of public viewings in theaters, sports stadiums, etc.

30 years ago and about 100 Million less americans as well.

Everything Fauxbama is NOTHING but Goebellesque propoganda, that only gets you so far and for so long. This guys an empty suit, a complete and total empty suit, he can’t fake it until he makes it anymore... now he’s got to perform and so far his performance has been abysmal.

Get ready for a presidency that could make Carter’s look stellar folks.

Doesn’t matter there are nearly 1/3 more americans than there were in 1981. 100 Million more, even if you count streaming as a percentage of the population, Fauxbama still loses.

It is worse than that. Nielsen apparently counted people who watched in a 5-6 hour window! Not live!

1981 US population 229,000,000, 2008 US population about 301,000,000. That’s a difference of about 32%.

In 1981 about 18% of the population watched the RR inauguration while in 2009 only 12% of the people did the same for the Messiah. That’s 50% more people as a % of the population watching Reagan as watched Hussein.

A poster offered up ‘Reagan was twenty years ago’ just yesterday, as though he didn’t have validity today as it relates to politics.
