A top economic adviser to President Obama has told a congressional panel the billions of dollars in the proposed economic stimulus plan should be allocated with social issues in mind, to make sure the money doesn't go to just "white male construction workers" or the highly skilled.
Robert Reich, who served as labor secretary under President Clinton, was speaking to the House Steering and Policy Committee Jan. 7 about funding infrastructure projects across the nation.
"It seems to me that infrastructure spending is a very important and good way of stimulating the economy. The challenge will be to do it quickly, to find projects that can be done that will have a high social return, that also can be done with the greatest speed possible," Reich said.
"I am concerned, as I'm sure many of you are, that these jobs not simply go to high skilled people who are already professionals or to white male construction workers," he said.

doing it on the bible is pretty important - weren’t there many comments here on FR about how the Bible would catch on fire if he put his hand on it? The Bible didn’t catch on fire- 0bama effectively fu***d up the recitation BECAUSE his hand WAS on the Bible.

Reich once said on TV that communism only failed because the right people were not in charge. I guess he thinks he’ll be one of the right people when it’s forced down Americans throats.

I saw a friend of mine who is a civil engineer. He said he has given up on hiring any one under 30, because most of the younger men today have trouble even reading a ruler. He told me that he has been unable to find anyone this year who could even add simple fractions correctly.
He also said that most of the younger people have no work ethic, and only show up when they want to. He is not a racist, he has a racially mixed crew. Also. when he has bothered to train a younger man, the guy usually leaves for someone who will pay him a little more. According to him the younger generation have no concept of loyalty.
If any one person with a high school diploma can not even read a ruler, than what good is that diploma?
We are in trouble, because a significant proportion of the younger generation will not be able to handle basic construction jobs. I know that I do not want to go over a bridge that will be built by one of these unskilled workers.

Bridges to Nowhere built by millions of people with no bridge-making or other construction skills.
If Obama uses his Presidency to act like an affirmative action jerk then he will cause some very serious problems. He is an evil man. It has only been a few days and look at the problems he is stirring up. He doesn’t even see what he is doing because he is being self-righteous. I bet some people who voted for him are already starting to regret it. Let’s just hope that he isn’t manipulative enough to garner more support while being a stupid evil man.
Check out any history book used in from K-highest levels of learning institutions. Whites have become the perfect scapegoat, and there are a whole lot of 'whites' who believe the dogma that only 'whites' are racists.
