Jews in Turkey Forced to Demonstrate Against Israel
Arutz 7 ^ | 1-25-09 | staff

(IsraelNN.com) Jewish students in Turkey were forced to participate in demonstrations against Israel during Operation Cast Lead, so reported the Israel Today newspaper Sunday. In one school students had to wear a symbol on their clothing against Israel and say the sentence, "Allah will punish Israel."

A rabbi from the area reported that one 10-year-old student sat in class while the teacher told students about Israel's "atrocities" in Gaza. At one point the teacher turned to the student and said, "Don't try to hide behind that symbol on your clothing, we all know you are a Jew." The rabbi said the student has been severely traumatized.

Why are there Jews in that anti-semitic cesspool? They should do themselves a favor and move back home to Israel.

That’s exactly what I was thinking. There’s a difference between being brave and being suicidal. It’s not like they are there to convert people to Judaism—unlike Christians who go to anti-Christian areas.

Every year at Seder we say, NEVER AGAIN..Yet, we’re watching it and doing nothing. I posted this on another thread. We’re always asked how Jews just walked into the gas chambers without fighting. That I can understand. What I can’t understand is seeing the runup to it and not only doing nothing, but supporting the people who would organize it. I never thought I’d see this in my lifetime.

Agreed. 54% of CINOs or phony Catholics and the Catholic Church funds ACORN and other hate America groups like La Raza, LULAC, etc. Sickening.

Catholic parishioners money went to ACORN and it will be used to kill lots of babies. The Pope should find the bishops behind that and fire them plus excommunicate them.

Israel must never be divided. It is the promised land where the Jewish people have a place from the wicked. All that's in the news confirms this fact more than ever.

Reminds me of what happened here in our own beloved America during Obmanation’s inauguration . . . students across the country were made to watch the proceedings and then many were not allowed to present their views of an Obamanation administration. We are getting dangerously close to the precipice ourselves.

RE: "students [here] were made to watch the proceedings and then many were not allowed to present their views of an Obamanation administration."

That's the way I read the article. What happened in Turkey had nothing to do with the government.

It was the Islamists in Turkey -- whom hundreds of thousands of Turks have protested against -- and the Isflamists here in the U.S. Isflamists because what BO says is flam and his idolaters could not care less.

However all is not without debate in Turkey..

Turkey has long had warm ties to the Jewish state, since Turks did not wear ideology or religion on their sleeves in their relationship with Israel. But under the AKP, those relations are getting frostier.

Though the debate between the AKP's Islamist tendency and Turks defending Turkey's 70-plus-year-old secular democratic republic is becoming louder.

Exactly, the Turks are probably the most friendly people in the Middle East to America after Israel.

The Turks are very friendly to Jews, their history is riddled with solidarity amongst Jews.

There is a large infection of Islamists in Turkey today, brought by the AKP party (who probably cheated its way to the top). They are the ones protesting Israel and many people are angry about it in Turkey.

There are many in Turkey who support Israel defending itself, especially because Turkey has had wars on terror for the past 5 decades.

I believe that Turkey has been one of Israel's better allies in the Middle East.

That said, I think that Israel has badly managed the information aspect of the Gaza event and has really damaged her image in the eyes of most of the world.

Gaza has been made to look like a pre-election political event.

That’s exactly what it was. The leftists who run Israel wanted to prove that they could be tough. Hopefully they offended their own appeasenik base enough to run themselves out of power.

RE: the AKP "cheated its way to the top"

I read several articles at the time that the old Islamists campaigned with their new party, the AKP. Turks repeatedly demanded promises that the AKP eschew Islamism and the AKP swore that they would.

The national election in 2003 was about the EU, the poor economy and corruption. I believe that the AKP has delivered and earned re-election but.. now there's trouble a brewin'.

no way I have been to Cyprus and have met many Turks here and around Europe especially Germany and I will be honest.
I have not met more than a handful who was friendly. They seem to think they are this superpower and have a severe attitude which contrast that with the Greeks who I have never met one I had never liked
