Aren’t all illegal aliens criminals?

She means really, really illegal illegal's, not just normal illegals.

Illegals ARE criminals, and there’s closer to 25 million, not 113,000.

Isn’t anyone here illegally, a “criminal alien”?

They tried to pass a law here in Los Angeles to deport the illegals in jail but the illegals wouldn’t let us.

Maybe she's wearing a new leaf!

You know, if she empty's all the prisons and jails of them in one day and sends them back to Mexico, etc., that could bring a conclusion to the mess in Mexico.

At this point, I’ll take what I can get. I’m the first to criticize this administration and alot more needs to be done in this department, but at least it’s something. BUT, we’ll have to see what her definition of ‘criminal’ is. (At this point, it’s not living here illegally).

They should start by throwing out the Marxist/Muslim alien.

The best place to find criminal aliens is in the state prisons and county jails. There has always been an ongoing effort to find and get rid of them. But, that effort was tempered with a desire to make sure they served out their well-deserved sentences, or their premature deportation would have been a form of excusing them for their crimes. Plus, in the case of Mexican and Central American criminals, they will be back within a week. Imagine the mood in their communities when they return to the scene of their crimes, unpunished and unrepentant.

That said, criminals on the street, in need of deportation, are fugitives. A recent article about ICE said that agents are required to get high level approval to arrest fugitives. That’ extra time, extra paperwork, extra levels of unnecessary bureaucracy. And the higher we go in the bureaucracy, the more frightened are the bureaucrats of making a wrong decision, and the more enamored they are of no decisions.

What does Napolitano plan to do to make this job a little easier? Typically, democrat administrations have made the job more difficult, not less. Of course, if she wanted to guarantee success, she’d just involve her Arizona nemesis, Sheriff Joe. Fat chance.

I’m guessing it’s all talk.

About 113,000 criminals who were in the U.S. illegally were deported last year, Immigration and Customs Enforcement said. The agency estimates there are now as many as 450,000 criminals in federal, state and local detention centers who are in the country illegally.
translation: that'll hold 'em four more years.

If she would get rid of the gangs that ruined Gwinnett Country in Georgia...I would be happy. Staples could not even let their employees wear red shirts...because they kept getting assaulted...gang colors or something.

Good point. We have some cynics on FR who like to say that the eligibility attorneys are enriching themselves but I’m convinced that by accepting the task of litigating against Obama they’ve gotten mainly long hours, considerable expenses, ridicule, and probably threats of violence too. I’ve started to support them financially and I hope that lots of other freepers are doing the same.
