It is indeed an interesting idea. I would think it should take place in Washington and every state capital on the same date.

On the face of it, Nugent is a great guy, but I can assure you, that many gun-owners participants would cringe at being associated with this kind of rhetoric, if they attended. FWIW.
A few Items:
1)No matter what happens in this march, I expect the media to label it as an expression of far right-wing radicalism....
2) The media will focus all their attention on the one or two ‘nutjobs’ with criminal records that show up
3) Ted Nugent will be on his best behavior...

We have become less heroic and more sheeplike. We are no longer leaders, but followers. And we are followers of women which the bible says is a shameful thing. Isa 3:12

However, and this is a big however, someone would need to put a muzzle on Ted Nugent. Quite the opposite IMO. Sitting quiet and playing nice has gotten us NO WHERE.
Past due time for some seriously pugnacious belligerence.

Why limit it to D.C.? Might be a lot more turnout and more effective to have marches in major metro areas all over the country.

Of the 80 million gun owners, how many are going to be able to take that much time off? 10 or 20 mil isn’t going to happen for anything shy of an outright rebellion.

It WON’T have the impact of the National Mall covered end to end with a sea of free citizens. If you can get to your state capitol, you can get to DC.

Wouldn't a million gun march be more effective?I don't think I can convince my Sig or my H&K to attend. They're lost and helpless without me.

America wont make it to 2010.I'm very much afraid you may be correct.
If we do, TPTB may well use this gathering to simply round us up and herd us off to "summer camp" ... forever. Durn sure we won't be allowed to have our means of self defense with us in DC!

Whoever organizes this needs to put the word out... everyone be cool and keep an eye out for those who aren't, because they WILL be there - conveniently in front of the CNNABNNBCCBS cameras. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
You have identified a very serious security issue. Not only will the leftist gun control idiots be there, but they will have plants who are carrying illegally consealed weapons and concealed long guns, so they can pull them out in front of the cameras to defame every legitimate gun owner in America.
This aspect needs to be addressed early on, and legit marchers need to be organized into cadres wwhere everybody keeps an eye out for a stranger with a gun.

Would The Ø allow it? Would he--or anyone else--have a choice?
The "open-carry" I mean. What will the DC law be when this march is to occur?
I'd think many would be dissuaded from participatinggiven the law.

Q: How did you create that symbol with the slash thru the "O?" Is there a special keystroke sequence? I'm a MAC guy normally, but I have a PC here at work.

Would you please tell us what the idea was? Apparently Comment #3 was removed by the Moderator.
Thanks.
