Frustrated Senate Democratic leaders dispensed with calls for bipartisanship on the stimulus package Thursday, with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid saying that he won't let anyone "hold the president of the United States hostage."
President Barack Obama had once hoped to have the package pass with substantial Republican support. But Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) said that's now a distant memory."
"So far," he said, bipartisanship "isn't working."
But in an interview with Politico, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said that the Democrats - not the Republicans - have made a mockery of bipartisanship.
Senators are in a panic this bill is stinking up the place, Graham said then accused Obama of being AWOL in the stimulus discussions.

You know things are really messed up when even McCain and Graham realize it’s wrong.

Remember, we have to do something, because Pelosi says 500 million Americans lose their jobs every month! That's 16,000,000 Amuricans lined up at unemployment lines daily!
Must be some hellaciously long lines somewhere. Consider: There were supposedly 2 million on the mall at the Obama Crowning. From that example, I think we can find the unemployment lines by simply looking for the trash and feces they leave.
Elementary, my dear Watson!

“The sum total of their grievances amount to one page,” said Sen. Dick Durbin of Illinois, the No. 2 Democrat...”Three months from now, we won’t be talking about how many votes we’re getting ,” he said. “We’ll be talking about how many people we’ve put to work, whether the GDP is turned around, and all of that.”
Pass it bunky...let’s see what we’re talking about in 3 mos...prolly a terrorist attack on a soup line.

Shut up whiny ass Reid, you want it, OWN IT. Hell no, you want to be able to pass the blame when this thing crashes the economy.

Why should they care if they get “bi-partisan” support for The Great Taxpayer Heist from Republicans? After all, as Hussein said “I won”. Let him lead the ‘rats in passing the theft against the wishes of millions of fed-up Americans, it’s good to be king.

Reid has very poor polling numbers in Nevada. It is critical that he bring home the porkulus for the casinos if he wants his lobbyist county commissioner son to be the next governor of Nevada.

Didn’t they already mess up in a BIG way on the bank (?) bail out. Just saw a clip of a hearing on FNC I think.

Exactly.
Ya know, last night we saw the first President Obama temper tantrum.
Pretty sad when you think about it. If he isn’t careful, we will be actually dealing with President Pelosi, who actually caused this mess.

If he isnt careful, we will be actually dealing with President Pelosi, who actually caused this mess. And then she will get impeached.
Somehow, I have a bad feeling that in the end, all we'll get is President Hillary.
