MARCH ON WASHINGTON - NOW!
Hildy

Posted on 02/06/2009 8:10:41 PM PST by Hildy

I'm at my breaking point..the point where you have to do something...just for your own sanity if nothing else. I think we need to get with some other groups, Grassfire and Resistnet and put together a March on Washington. I think the person to put the word out is Rush, and we'll do the rest....Who would be in with this?

I like the cow manure idea...how about sending it to the 3 rino’s offices in their home states where it would be delivered, not in the $hithole DC where it would end up in a congressional mail room.

Hildy, I think that we need to start small, start with your home town media. Tell them what they could have had with the John Thune proposal and ask them which plan they would rather have had. I think that we should also greet Obama at all his stops on his tour to promote this bill, but focus on Nancy Pelosi, not Obama. Blame the whole mess on her and her selfish, hyper partisanship.

We don’t Want Pelosi’s CHANGE.

“If you could raise the cash on the quite buy up 535 pigs, spray paint the reps names on them, and turn them loose on the streets of DC. Believe me the traffic jam will get some press coverage, and the PETA crew will stop the cops from just shooting them.”

LOL, funny, effective and feasible.
Are you sure you haven’t done this before in another life? Maybe you’ve been thinking about this for awhile.

You are devious. I like it.

Nope, Marketing major. I learned that people paid attention to funny commercials, but ignored serious commercials. I bet you can rattle off three of Geico's sales pitches without even thinking about it. Why, because their commercials are silly, but you still get the message. Can you think of anything that that dower, depressing guy from Alstate says. But you know that Geico saves you money, insures motorcycles and motor homes, and is so easy a caveman can do it.

I also read a lot of Heinlein sci-fi during my misspent youth. Sure he was trying to start a lib revolution, but the same principles apply. Read "The Moon is a Harsh Mistress". If you can get past all the weird sex stuff the book is a how to manual on overthrowing a government.

This is what we need to do. His books looked like just standard pulp sci-fi, but they were planting ideas into teen agers heads. And not just the standard garbage about teen rebellion, but particle ideas on how to go about starting a rebellion.

We are now very much out of power. We are going to be out of power for a long time. We need change from seeking quick victories to fighting the long war, and that starts with propaganda. We need out best and brightest to write the next Harry Potter. But with corrupt bureaucratic governments, clueless teachers, and shallow press being seen as the villains. But don't put it in a castle in England and don't rely on magic. Just show how to disrupt "The Man's" plans. Make the upcoming generation think its fun to screw with the government. Tell stories about the moonshiners in the 1920s who stood up to an overly repressive state that tried to legislate morality and tax them into poverty. Heck everyone loves a car chase, but the message still gets out.

Backing up the propaganda are acts that make the government look foolish. Did you notice how easily The One got rattled. So we need to keep rattling his cage. We don't need to win, just obstruct at every possible opportunity. The socialist method of rule is based on fear and goodies. When they look like fools, the loose the element of fear. When we obstruct they cannot deliver the goodies.

Memorial Day maybe?
How many people made the ultimate sacrifice for us? If Obama and the dems keep it up their deaths will have been for nothing.

We owe it them to make their lives count.

We will never have a fair election in this country again. You don’t know this about me, but I am one of the most optimistic people you’ll ever meet...And I say that we will never have a fair election again from the depths of my soul.

Wow Hildy. I agree with you.

I honestly didn’t think you would come to this conclusion so fast. But, I’m glad I have company.

The Fairness Doctrine is where I want to make my stand. I feel that once they take our voice away, it’s over. I also feel that a one day march wouldn’t do it , it would have to be converging on Washington and refusing to go home.

Once we start one March, it will give energy to us and to others to participate. We must do this.

In Cuba, the reason the people do not revolt is because their basic needs are met. They are complacent. Therefore they do not have the energy to revolt. That will happen here in America if we don't stand up now.

At some point, it will be too late for us to march. We will be like Cuba and be complacent. I just hope we are not like that now. Like someone said: all we are doing now is talking, complaining, calling and emailing. It's time to March

How many are willing to make a commitment now?

I wrote this to Micheal Steela at the RNC last night:

Enough is enough and $800 Billion is too much.

If Snowe, Collins, or Specter vote with the Democrats on the Porkulus bill presently in the Senate, they should be OUT of the Republican Party. No campaign funds and no support of any kind from other Republicans. I don't know why other Republican Senators would even want to speak to them. We conservative Republicans would be MUCH better off without them, even if their seats were won by actual Democrats. At least then the media would not be able to call this a "Bi-partisan Stimulus Bill."

I intend to write to my Republican Senator, Mr. Lugar, to inform him that if ANY Republican Senators vote for this Bill, I will make a point of doing all I can to support a challenger to Mr. Lugar in the next primary election. I could go on venting all evening......but your time and your staff's time is valuable.........get these three OUT.

target all offices of elected officials from the local to state to federal

I agree. The media might be more interested in 100 small rallies across the country than one more march on DC. 100 local stories for the, admittedly biased, AP to pick up.

"we just need to support & ELECT true blue conservatives come 2010"

Nice start but unrealistic, to a point what we need to do is elect people who have America's best interest as their sole motivation.

The present mob that we have are neither interested in America or it's history.

They are the singularly the very worse of America, they have proven that they care nothing for Americans or our way of life, rather holding onto power. The only hope for this country is for enough patriots to stand against the tide of criminal appointments and the traitor who would let loose or coddle Americas enemies.

Mindreader. :)

Any Republican that votes for the ‘RAT’s job killing bill needs to be targeted for removal from office in the next election. We may as well support the ‘RAT for office if our Republican representatives are going to vote with the ‘RATS anyway.

This is the RAT’S bill and they have the majority, so let them pass it all by themselves.

The GOP had better wise up fast to the fact that we will no longer fall for their phony dog and pony shows.

We know that the only reason a Republican would vote for this sham is to deliberately give cover to the so-called “conservative” ‘RATS who want to vote “no” because they will have to answer to the wrath of the voters in the districts in which they were elected.

Let the ‘RATS pass this bill all by themselves.

The fact that the ‘RATS just rolled Judd Gregg by asking him to head up a government department that he had voted to abolish in the early 90’s, and after he accepted, made his position toothless by removing the census bureau right out from under him in the Commerce Dept., is LAUGHABLE.

Is there anything dumber than the naive fools in the Stupid Party?
