Barack Obama's army is mobilised in bid to save his recovery plan
Tom Baldwin in Washington.
At 4pm tomorrow Monica Coleman will open her home to about 30 friends and neighbours.
They will eat some snacks, watch a video and help to demonstrate how - for all his problems - President Obama still has a powerful army behind him.
Her party in Raleigh, North Carolina, is one of more than 3,000 across America this weekend by the street-level activists who helped to propel Mr Obama to victory last year.
We're here to watch his back, Ms Coleman said. Winning the election was only the beginning and now we must be his soldiers again.

Yeah! and I also read a more truthful article where the Ominsitration is disappointed where this cluster-party gang band stuff didn’t work like before the election.

I'm not really hungry, Ms Coleman, but I would like to hear you explain how $850 billion more in earkmark spending, doubling the deficit,
won't be inflationary and
will stimulate the economy out of recession. Be as detailed as you like.
You do have Barry's 'back', don't you?
*Expletive deleted* pathetic.

Sorry, they didn't teach Macroeconomics in Diversity Studies programs.
The only "Economics" classes those programs have are based on the principles of an old, European, white man from the late 19th century.

Scoffers and mockers - another sign of the times.

I'm thinking he doesn't have enough to do, so he's decided to return to the campaign mode he understands.
It can't be to "sell" his plan, because it's as good as passed.

We have all seen the script before in 1930's Germany. Like another foreign born interloper his "Part uber Alles" brownshirts are already undermining his political opposition in a multi-pronged assault. The next steps in the attack will concentrate on
1) A waive of Immorality Trials and dirty tricks media campaign against the Catholic Church and other Conservative Christian organizations leaders to undermine the opposition's moral authority,
2) A politicization of the military,
3) An increased effort to coopt children through state sponsored "movements" and organizations,
4) An end run on an independent judiciary by the establishment of an executive branch courts system (watch the Gitmo issue closely)
5) And, God forbid, some kind of Reichstag fire that will compel the government to exercise extraordinary emergency powers
To: Steelfish
Obama fails in Washington so he reverts to what he knows best, campaigning.

Somehow, I don't think HIS failed presidency rises to the level of “National Catastrophe.” It s sounds a bit more personal...
