While not known for his politics, Whitmore was an early supporter of President Barack Obama. He stumped for Obama during a 2007 rally at the Gibson Theatre at Universal Studios, telling the crowd that Obama had the wisdom “to deal with a very, very confused and complex country, and the world.”

Ah, yeah, “0” is just filled with wisdom.

I will never understand God’s Great Plan.

He was one of my all time favorites as an actor... Don’t know of his politics, and probably that’s a good thing.

per the article...

Whitmore was an early supporter of President Barack Obama. He stumped for Obama during a 2007 rally at the Gibson Theatre at Universal Studios, telling the crowd that Obama had the wisdom “to deal with a very, very confused and complex country, and the world.”

Another “Battleground” actor. Montalban just died recently and got me thinking of the movie.

One of those guys who, when he was on the screen, you couldn’t NOT look at him. Great voice too.
