Faith forms a bond for a lesbian priest and a Mormon father of three
A documentary film about same-sex marriage and theology leads to friendship, admiration and new understanding.
By Duke Helfand February 7, 2009
Who could have foreseen what would happen between the Mormon filmmaker and the lesbian priest?
Not Douglas Hunter, even after he took a leap of faith and trained his camera on the Rev. Susan Russell.

Headline of the Day Winner.
So which one is the rev and which one is the dude? Kind of hard to tell.....
If only she had turned down Bill Clinton's advances, she would still be a straight soccer mom.
My wife is proven right, once again, when she said, "Any decent woman would rather become a lesbian, if he were the last man on earth!"
When the blind lead the blind, they both fall into the ditch.
Douglas Hunter is obviously a squish. I can understand falling for a hot lesbian, but her? She’s guilty, and then some.
Why does this statement sound as though "the other" he is referring to is Satan?
Ping. Just because.
can I deny them a fundamental right that I benefit from and cherish?” he asked. “The answer is no.”
When did marriage become a right?
When did Doug become a guarantor of rights?
Looks to be a fundamental misunderstanding on a host of subjects.
Is marriage a man made institution?
If not, what is man doing debating the issue.
Please, lets stop with the bastardization of the English language.
Gay means just what it did in the 1920’s
Homosexual, still refers to those with unusual sexual proclivities.
Do we hate and despise them. NO!
Do they still enjoy all the rights and privileges enumerated in the Constitution. Yes!
What’s the beef, or better yet, what’s the AGENDA!
because we are ALL just a little bit gay? LMAO!!!
OK, this priest woman wrecks her family through divorce and goes chasing after other women. What impact did this have on her children? (The times article won’t tell you about that.) She actively defends her marriage failure, but the problem in her life is not on her sexual perversion but she says a voice spoke to her and said “you are gay - love and live with it”.
This is a really stinky story that has been made into a lesbian fairy-tale.
Would the LA Slimes print a story about a gay who goes straight?
Beelzebub — meet Satan...
>>The next day, during a service at the National Cathedral in Washington, Russell heard a voice in her head.
“This is how I made you,” it said. “Now I need you to go back and be the priest I made you to be.”
The words seemed so loud that Russell looked around to see if anyone else heard them.
“I walked out of that service . . . changed,” she says in the film. “It was just really clear to me that my life didn’t look like what I thought it did.<<
Wow, if this isn’t a graphic illustration of how much Satan controls the Episcopal Cult, and how you are spiritually in danger if you even go into one of their “churches.”
