Al Qaeda threatens India with 'humiliation' if Pakistan is attacked

Al Qaeda's military commander in Afghanistan has threatened India with further attacks if the country attacks Pakistan.

"India should know that it will have to pay a heavy price if it attacks Pakistan," Mustafa Abu Yazid said in a recently released videotape. "The Mujahideen will sunder your armies into the ground, like they did to the Russians in Afghanistan."

In the videotape, Yazid referred to the November 2008 terror assault in Mumbai, saying the Indians suffered "humiliation" in the attack and more was in store if India decides to retaliate against Pakistan, the BBC reported.

The 62-hour terror spree in Mumbai resulted in 165 innocent people killed and hundreds more wounded. The Lashkar-e-Taiba, a Pakistan-based terror group allied with al Qaeda and supported by powerful elements within Pakistan’s Inter-Service Intelligence agency and the military, carried out the attack, an Indian intelligence dossier stated. The dossier contained proof of calls made between the Mumbai terrorists and their handlers inside Pakistan as the attacks were ongoing, as well as transcripts of the handlers providing information to the terrorists and ordering them to murder the civilians. The handlers were heard cheering after the murders.

Al Qaeda is seriously ignoring India’s capability to send wave after wave of troops. They don’t have a population base of a billion.

With the exception of a few incidents through out their LONG history India has basically been a relatively peaceful country and they lack the blood thirsty hoards that the muzzies seem to have unlimited numbers of.

East Pakistan was a Muslim country that was on India's side, in slicing off Pakistan.

Besides, Indian Muslims aren't as susceptible to take up arms as are other Muslims. The most extremist of them moved to Pakistan, in 1947.

Lastly, Muslim extremists are not given a free run in India. They know there will be repercussions from the remaining Indians, and the repercussions are usually swift and massive.

Things have changed in this day and age when it comes to religion. With the advent of the Internet and other forms of instant communications it's much harder to keep track of the outside influence that these radicals may be receiving as it once was. Secrecy amongst a group of radicals is not as hard as it once was.

Indira Gandhi thought she could trust her Sikh guards after she ordered their Golden Shrine stormed. She was wrong and paid with her life. What mistake may a Indian politician make now to set off the muzzies.

I know how swift and deadly the repercussions can be. I'll never forget the scenes of that train carrying Muslims after it was attacked by Hindu mobs. Horrific.

It was the other way. 68 or so were Hindu pilgrims were burnt alive on that train.

You are right. I had it backwards. It was the scenes of the aftermath of the Hindu mobs attacking Muslims in revenge for the Muslim attack on the train. A lot of bad blood there. My question to you is do you think the Muslim's attitudes in India have changed from the Muslim's attitudes from when they opted to stay with India after their Independence.

After the 26/11 attacks on Mumbai the muslims protested the attacks and did not allow any terrorist to be buried in any muslim cemetery within the country.

The Muslims also toned down the eid celebrations as a mark of respect for the loss of life .

See the thing is muslims died too and they have declared that they will put the country first here .

As they should. If Nation States are to survive, it is critical that the nation remain the highest level of abstraction after humanity. Anyone who puts any other abstract - Religion/Race/Tribe, etc. subverts the Nation. In countries that haven’t occupied other people by force, as is the case with India, such people should be given the option to either accept the supremacy of the nation, or go somewhere else where their views are accepted.
