GunsAreOK paid off on his challenge concerning President Bush. He promised to pay the D.C. Chapter $100 for each commuting or pardoning of Border Agents Ramos and Compean and a third person who's name eludes me right now.

As we know, former President Bush did commute the jail time for Border Agents Ramos and Compean. The D.C. Chapter coffers are now richer for it. But GunsAreOK wasn’t finished. Because he, BufordP and myself were in front of the White house on cool morning protesting POTUS over Ramos and Compean, he offered to buy lunch for the D.C. Chapter regulars.

So the invite went out, come to the Olney FReep and get a free lunch.

This was a good week in Olney. We had 9 Patriots: Legionnaire Glenn (USMC - WWII), Halsey (USMC - Korea), Dennis (Army- Korea) and his singing soldier bear , Lurkers Bill and Mike, and FReepers 2ndClassCitizen and daughter, BufordP, Cindy_True_Supporter, Fraxinus, GunsAreOK, HellinaHandCart, iMacMan, Kburi, Sauropod, Swimmer_Luvs_Texas (2ndClass’s other daughter), [Mrs] trooprally, VAFlagWaver and myself.

Pictures are by iMacMan and [Mrs] T. Time keeps me from identifying each picture’s photographer.

BELOW: Our FReeper Hero of the day - GunsAreOK, aka “Guns”.

BELOW LEFT: Cindy_True_Supporter, Mike and a future Marine. He’s still in high school and is heading down to Parris Island in July. I guess the hottest time of the year really builds MEN. As he was leaving I hollered to him that there is an Iwo Jima and a Korean War Marine Vets at our right flank. He immediately came back and spent another 15 minutes talking to Glenn and Halsey. BELOW RIGHT: Speaking of Marines, one of our favorite, Glenn.

BELOW LEFT: Guns, 2ndClass’s two daughters and Sauropod. BELOW RIGHT: Glenn and VAFlagWaver supervising our packing up.

BELOW LEFT: Our very own messiah FReeper - BufordP, with me bowing down to him, or waiting to be knighted. To be honest, I’m do not remember what I was doing. BELOW RIGHT: BufordP, and Cindy_True_Supporter not showing Buford any respect. Good for her.

Once again, Dennis’ singer soldier bear was a hit. BELOW LEFT: Guns with Dennis. BELOW RIGHT: Cindy_True_Supporter with Dennis

BELOW LEFT: Lurker Bill. BELOW RIGHT: Our group, early arrivals.

And the moonbats were up to their normal talking out of both sides of their mouth. (BELOW) The “quackers” believe in not showing allegiance to any country yet show the American flag and the empty-suited-organization UN flag.

But we have iMacMan’s great pictures of passing supporters.

AND, it just happen to be around GunsAreOK’s birthday!!! 60th if you were wondering.

We once again went to Dave’s American Bistro. Food was extra great since it was free. After we all got there, we sent Guns outside to re-enter to us humming “Hail to the Chief”. Since it was his birthday, we allowed him one impersonation. We roasted him a little, gave him a poster size picture of him with BufordP at the White House and a 12 inch high Bush dinero. We also sang "For he is a jolly good fellow" since Guns does not like Happy Birthday.

BELOW LEFT: The front side of the White House poster.BELOW RIGHT: The back side of the poster after Guns thought the camera was off, and he decided to take his afternoon nap. BufordP is holding a sign with the Bush dinero.

BELOW LEFT: THE CAKE!! BELOW RIGHT: THE GREAT BLOW!!

Some more pics of our lunch.

As always, the D.C. Chapter's rules for protesting will be in effect. Briefly, they are: No violence, no profanity, no racism, no provocations, obey the law and treat all law enforcement officers with respect.

But a lot of verbal engagement in Olney is always welcome.
