The constitution allows the states to call a constitutional convention and in this case for:
1. Ratification of an amendment repealing the 16th amendment.
2. Granting states sole responsibility for the collection of taxes from individual citizens and business except for tariffs.
3. Restrict congress from creating any law or taxes not specifically related to granted authorities as defined by the constitution.
Currently approximately 2/3 of the States are Red States. I believe a 2/3 majority is what would be required to ratify the constitution.
The 16th amendment gave birth to the Federal Government monster and the states are the ONLY entity that can possibly reign in the feds.
If it can be repealed we will have a much better chance of stopping the destruction of America. As part of the act of repeal, congress may not create any law not specifically related to its constitutionally authority.
Now is the time. The polls indicate a very low congressional approval of around 11%? Congress has overstepped its mandate considerably.
Almost half of the state legislatures are considering or have representatives preparing to introduce resolutions which reassert the principles of the 9th and 10th Amendments to the Constitution and the idea that federal power is strictly limited to specific areas detailed in the Constitution and that all other governmental authority rests with the states.
Now is the time. Please contact your state and local representatives and ask them to please consider the above!

When I first hired on at Pacific Telephone, the district manager was a genuine horse's ass about the United Way fundraiser. His evaluation and pay raise was contingent on meeting certain goals...United Way participation included. He would call you into his office and require that you sign up for a minimum of 1% of your gross to United Way before you could leave the office. It was big time intimidation by a major league jackass.
When United Way teamed up with the gays to defund the Boy Scouts, I immediately changed my charitable giving strategy. I donate directly to the Friends of Scouting campaign each year. That bypasses United Way. Their literature contributes heat to my home.
