Not satisfied at dining endlessly at the public trough, now this DhimmiRat LibTard wants to secure the progressives’ meal ticket by controlling the means by which we disseminate information.
Not surprising. It has always been about control.
Time to take back the country.
“You say you want a revolution.. well you know”
LLS
The f’ugliest man on the planet, inside and out.
At what point have we lost so much that life is no longer tolerable and some form of revolt is necessary? The porkulus bill is full of reasons and I know that it is only the beginning. So much has happened since Jan. 20th...I shudder to think what might be next. 2010 can't come soon enough.
Google results are fair and good. Yahoo, not so much.
We are so screwed...
does this include the silly quotes on starbucks coffee cups?
does this include CNN?
they have three left wing fanatics on MSNBC, will they have to add three right wing fanatics on MSNBC?
Fairness doctrine is eupean style parlamentary BS.
How will this differ from what Google already does???
....and....
“But civil disobedience is a real option.”
If the former is true the latter is not an option. The idea presupposes some level of respect that simply is not given by Evil.
If you believe something is hopeless then it is.
Type LIMBAUGH into Google, Rush Limbaugh's site comes back on top.
Type MALKIN into Google, Michelle Malkin's site comes back on top.
Type HANNITY into Google, Sean Hannity's site comes back on top.
Type COULTER into Google, Ann Coulter's site comes back on top.
Type PORKULUS into Google, the first three results are for Porkulus.org, MichelleMalkin.com and HotAir.com.
Where's the problem?
Which is?
Today.
And yes, we can prevail over a 21st Century military.
I think the military would be on our side.
Come now, you MUST have seen one of the multitudinous threads on how Google has made "web buzz" unfavorable to the Democrats (and especially Obama) disappear???
Less than that for law enforcement.
Only a fraction from Federal agencies like the FBI, FEMA, and the TSA.
I've seen whining. Can you back it up with evidence or analysis?
Yes. Of course!
I googled FR and it has one of those green star *safe* ratings.
So does DU.
I read widely on the net, mostly because FR already links to TNR, Reason, Salon, DU, Slashdot, etc, etc. We have a *Pray For Obama* permanent thread. Did any liberal site have a *Pray For George Bush* permanent thread?
We here at FR are already balanced. I don't understand the concern over Internet radio or the statement that “Some sites control access and content” to the implied detriment of other sites. I have a retail sales website. I can look at the traffic on my site, see when people are looking at it, how many and their IP numbers. The same is already true for personal family sites, as well as political comment sites. My control of my site does not impair any other site. It is not zero-sum.
Information on all sorts of things which are illegal, from hacking to marijuana to porn to gambling to bombs and poisons are all on the internet. There have been very radical left and right wing sites, as well as radical terrorist sites. They sometimes get closed down and are back in hours.
I don't think Waxman understands the Internet. Certainly, I don't, really understand it. But, it is global. There are anonymizers, although I know those aren't always truly anonymous and can be tracked if someone really wants to. The various servers that run the Internet are, if I understand it at all, decentralized and there are ways to work around any that malfunction. It may slow down the Internet, but so far, it hasn't resulted in *Forbidden* prompts, at least for me.
I have a family member who is an impatient sort of person. If they have any problem linking to a site, their first thought is that the Internet is at fault. Usually, it is a cookie problem or a resource problem with an old computer or a conflict with security software. I have gone on their computer, rebooted, turned off parts of their network, checked their options and Lo and Behold: I can download the site in question.Occasionally, it turns out to be a DOS attack or other hacking situation, which clears up in a few hours/days. Sometimes, it is a simple case of a typo or a poor use of search terms. Sometimes, they can't complete an Internet sale because they didn't check the *terms and agreements* box and the sales cart program didn't highlight that (or they failed to notice the highlight) when it returned them to the form before going to checkout.
I just don't see the problem, either.
See the threads. The evidence presented in them was sufficient to convince me, and I'm a pretty notorious skeptic.
Enter "google" in the Free Republic article search, and you'll turn up quite a few.
That’s about hat I figured. Bluff, fold.
