Dems Are Stacking the Deck
Human Events ^ | Rep. Jason Chaffetz

Posted on 02/19/2009 5:48:47 PM PST by Vozda

Democrats have thumped the Republicans in two consecutive elections, but they are taking nothing for granted. Maybe they are expecting Republicans to change their ways and start acting like fiscal conservatives again. That could explain the Democrats' multi-pronged attempt to stack the electoral deck in their favor, an approach that includes President Obama's decision to politicize the Census Bureau by placing the Bureau under the direct control of White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emmanuel instead of the Secretary of Commerce.

If all goes as planned, the Democrats will be holding at least three aces in their hand by the time 2012 rolls around. The first ace is card check, an anti-democratic process that bypasses secret ballot elections when employees are deciding whether to unionize or not. While unions' share of the workforce has increased recently, labor union membership has declined dramatically in the past twenty-five years from 20.1% of the workforce to 12.4%. Most of this decline has occurred among private sector workers. Democrats want to recoup their losses of the past several years and make it easier for their Big Labor bosses to unionize more companies. After all, more unionization means more union money and organized support for Democratic candidates. Card check bypasses all the inconveniences of democracy and secret ballots by allowing union hacks to intimidate and pressure workers to sign cards. Once a majority of workers has signed on, the shop is unionized.

They’re Democrats. It’s how they roll.

Does the Census matter in 2010? I thought it was done in 2010 and in place in 2011 ready for 2012.

There may come a time when patriots will have to go sit in the street, as the East Germans did. When nothing could move, no work was being done, and no money was being sent to the oppressors, Communism crumbled. It’s the Yertle, the Turtle, effect, for those who know Dr. Seuss books.

I posted this question on another thread last night, but
I'll ask again here.

If we weren't fighting two wars abroad, and most of our
military was stationed stateside, would the democrats
be attempting to overrun our nation with their communist
agenda?

I don't think that they have any true intentions of stopping
either of our wars until they have complete control.

They fear our military.

It’s a coup by process. Pogroms will be next.

The truth is that most of the military is still stateside. And having served 20 years in the Air Force I can tell you that most members will follow orders to a certain extent. Review the history of the military in the depression and MAcArthur’s use of it in quelling riots. Don’t count on the military as your ace in the hole.

Time for an executive order.

...and who is responsible for letting the deck get stacked? Sure look for support after the fact. THE RNC and underlings have abandon the voter...NOW you look for support? You did nothing about voter fraud, WHEN IN POWER. You did nothing about illegals, WHEN IN POWER. You did nothing about taxes, WHEN IN POWER. Your decisions WHEN IN POWER, not to stand by principles, laws, the constitution, has lead us ALL into dire straits.

Ain't gonna happen, my FRiend....this is 21st Century America, & everyone nowadays is too complacent & settled into their own comfort zone to do this or throw another Tea Party like Drudge posted earlier.

It's sad, but true IMO.

Communists and dictators of all stripes never trust the military unless they have built that military from the ground up. I expect Hussein will commence a Purge of the officer corps at some point the way Clinton did. That Clinton purge was probably the main source of getting bogged down in Iraq. We had to flush out the top ranks of the bureaucrat generals and colonels and let the capable combat officers come to the top before we got a handle on it. The “surge” didn’t do it by itself. It was accomplished primarily with the competence that was finally in charge with the turnover in commanders.

In fairness to Rep. Chaffetz, he was not there during the GOP collapse. This is his first term. We replaced his predecessor in the primary for voting for amnesty.

So far he’s been pretty good, although I’ve heard a rumor that he’s wobbly on the DC representation vote because Utah would get another representative in the deal.

Well, we can't change the past. The question is what do we do about it now. Can anything be done?

And they want to take away our guns. I mean have they planned this, or am I just being paranoid?

They won’t be satisfied until the entire United States ends up like California - mailing out IOUs for tax refunds.

I don’t know how it is possible, but I hope these Democrat operative jerkwads do SO MUCH overreaching, the states they consider reliable even turn on them.

I would so much love to see, for instance, California become competitive again. The world is going down the tubes because of their policies and actions...and America is going to be in a lot pain because of them.

Let’s hope for a true revolution in thinking in America.
