After his top-of-Drudge-worthy remarks [video] yesterday on CNBC, you knew Rick Santelli would be on NBC’s Today this morning. Perhaps equally predictable was that the man who argued against making the 92% of responsible Americans paying their mortgages bail out the 8% who aren’t would be subject to the third degree. Or in this case, a triple team.
Steve Liesman, also of CNBC, was there to take the other side, but he was clearly playing for the home team alongside Matt Lauer and Brian Williams, pinch-hitting for Meredith Vieira. Neither Lauer nor Williams hit Liesman, who favors the huge mortgage bailout, with one hardball. All the tough stuff was reserved for Santelli, who held his ground, although he did say he might have chosen a couple words [presumably about calling people in default "losers"] more carefully.

Rush reaches 20 million listeners and he played Santelli’s comments repeatedly yesterday.
IMO, CNBC loved the publicity. They featured his video on their website all day and added a poll to attract more visitors. If they weren’t “liking” all the publicity they would have pulled the video and there was no need to add a poll.
Drudge has been averaging nearly a million viewers per hour for the last month.
I wish Santelli explained to the NBC crowd that the 92% still in their homes are already sacrificing to do so.
Not quite sure "sacrifice" requires bailing out losers.
The obamedia was not happy. Matt makes plenty of money and should just pay a few bad mortgages himself.

Now I am really glad I mentioned it...I had a feeling you might have missed it since you did not mention anything. Can’t say for sure when, but I believe it was after 6:45 (although I put it on at about 6:15); I was out of the house at about 8:05, so that’s the best I can do. Next time, I will note the time in case you miss it again!

What did the the wonder boys have to say about the interview between Neil Cavuto and the Rep. from Acorn who advocated her people “to continue to squat in their homes “ even though they could not pay their mortgages.
Isn’t she advocating breaking the law. The feds should stop giving money to people such as these ?
Heck, I know of a single liberal woman living in a 5 bedroom 4800 sq ft house.
I bet she’d give that up to a huge welfare family and move into a 1 BR apartment in the name of “social justice”.
Clearly, the state run media needed to respond...
