De-gayify. Oscar wants to rebuild its viewership and it hires as its producer … the guy who made Dreamgirls? If there’s anything Oscar desperately needs, it’s to get rid of its showstopping (i.e., funstopping) song-and-dance numbers. No disrespect to our gay brothers and sisters, but perhaps they can be persuaded to watch even without those excruciating Broadway interludes. And if there were as many gay folks in the country as Oscar seems to think, then gay-themed movies (Brokeback Mountain, Milk, Batman and Robin) would do a lot better at the box office....

“Milk” and Sean Penn may win their Oscars.
If they do, look for speeches about gay causes. Look for them to say Harvey Milk fought discrimination, and his fight continues because of battles over same-sex marriage. They will say Harvey was against hatred in his day, and that this battle still has to be fought because of Proposition 8, yadda, yadda, yadda.
The Hollywood idiots have to prove over and over that they are good liberals.
Watch a Jerry Lewis re-run on a different channel.
I thought it was funny the year “Brokeback” was up for the Oscar. The gay activists praised the courage of the Hollywood community for making a love story about homosexual men.
Then, when “Crash” won the Oscar for best picture, those same gay activists said that the Academy members lost their guts in not voting for “Brokeback” for best picture. The activists attributed their fears to the climate of fear created by the Bush administration.
Presumeably in the open tolerant liberal Obama administration, it’s ok to have a gay movie win an Oscar. We’ll find out.
And this includes winners in every category from Best Movie clear down to Best Mangled Film Reels.

I’m trying to remember the last time I watched the Academy Awards...I know I watched when Johnny Carson hosted, maybe once or twice with Billy Crystal. I think I remember Letterman bombing as host too.
Watching liberals congratulate each other for making liberally themed movies that I will likely never watch...no thanks. Lots of good stuff on DVD to see!
Grand Torino reminded me of one thing I have to do in my lifetime.
I have to own an M-1 Garand.
I have other rifles that shoot “better,” (Like my 6.5 Grendel) but I just have to own a Garand... and on my passing, will it to my Grandson.
