Alan Keyes, a 2008 presidential candidate who is also a plaintiff in one of the many lawsuits challenging Barack Obama's constitutional eligibility to occupy the Oval Office, charged at a pro-life rally that unless Obama's social and economic policies are stopped, the United States as we know it is over.

Keyes' comments were part of an interview with a reporter from KHAS-TV at a fundraiser for the AAA Crisis Pregnancy Center in Hastings, Neb.

"Obama is a radical communist, and I think it is becoming clear. That is what I told people in Illinois and now everybody realizes it's true," said Keyes, who ran unsuccessfully against Obama for the state's open Senate seat in 2004. "He is going to destroy this country, and we are either going to stop him or the United States of America is going to cease to exist."

Keyes also reasserted his belief that unless the question of Obama's eligibility to serve as president is answered definitively, America may face the startling crisis of an executive branch run by a "usurper."

"Is he president of the United States?" Keyes asked the reporter of Obama. "According to the Constitution, in order to be eligible for president you have to be a natural born citizen. He has refused to provide proof.”

"I'm not sure he's even president of the United States," Keyes continued, "neither are many of our military people now who are now going to court to ask the question, 'Do we have to obey a man who is not qualified under the constitution?' We are in the midst of the greatest crisis this nation has ever seen, and if we don't stop laughing about it and deal with it, we're going to find ourselves in the midst of chaos, confusion and civil war."

Keyes, who stated he refuses even to refer to Obama as president, labeled the man in the Oval Office as "somebody who is kind of an alleged usurper, who is alleged to be someone who is occupying that office without constitutional warrant to do so."

Keyes' comments included harsh criticism of Obama's policies on immigration, abortion, and the mortgage crisis.

He concluded the interview by railing against the president's push for hundreds of billions of dollars in government economic stimulus spending.

"We are claiming that a bankrupt government can save a bankrupt banking system", Keyes said.

why do you feel the need to “make that perfectly clear”? Where has anyone suggested otherwise?

Given Zero’s behavior so far, it’s hard to believe his goal is anything less than the total destruction of the USA.

What do we do to get behind Demint NOW. I’d love to see a Demint/Sessions ticket...but has Demint expressed any interest?

I believe his goal has been a fundamtnal change away from sound republican principle, away from the free market, and away from the traditional Judao-Christian principles which undergird them from the getgo.

In doing so, his aim is to fundamentally destroy the United States as we have known it.

He is dismantling the free market while acting in an office he refuses to provide proof that he is constitutionally qualified to serve in.

The economic situation is being used for cover to implement the largest, most radical, and most far reaching constitutional altering of our society and its constitution in history.

And the crisis was a generated crisis by someone. It's all part of the plan - oil prices spike, the the financial crisis happens, Hussein is elected, and USA becomes a marxist country. We have to stop this now!!!

I agree. I also think some people are too lazy to get any information then they vote for the guy that looks the best or talks the sweetest. The information was out there, but unless it was the propaganda tidbits they catch from CNN, it won’t get found out. I have a sneaking suspicion that the three people I know that voted for BHO, aren’t following any of what he is doing now that he is in office. Their duty was— he looks good, sounds good, vote, and that’s it.

Keyes lost to Obama by such a landslide as to be a pathetic embarrassment. He was a carpet bagger through and through. Meanwhile the RINO-leaning Illinois GOP should have supported conservative senator Fitzgerald, but stabbed him in the back behind the scenes, leaving us with Keyes.

Now, we’re getting lectured from the same people that brought Obama to power by their ineptitude. Wake me when this nightmare is over.

I agree, but won’t that all be a mute point if they are successful in screwing with the census (and passing amnesty)? (I’m not the most knowledgable on the census subject...take that back...not knowledgable at all on the subject)

Exactly. See my post 14.

If we start to turn things around in 2010, we can prevent 60% of this abominable bill that was just passed from being inacted and spent, and we can blunt and overturn whatever other damage this usurper and marxist accomplishes between now and then.

But we must all educate those around us now and ask them to do the same.

We’ve got a civil war brewing on our border that will bring millions of refugees to America. Our borders are still being ignored. Zero has ACORN using anarchist tactics to sieze homes now. He’s deliberately causing the collapse of our entire economy. We’re importing muslims at an alarming rate. Zero is totally erratic in his foreign policy dealings. And Last but not least he seems to want to enrage the American public.

As I said, Keys is not good at all in his campaigning and organizational skills...but that does not change the truth of his words. What he is saying here is true and we need to use that truth to wake up those around us...much less than sleeping through it.

The nightmare will end when enough of us get the gumption, fortitude, strength and commitment to change it...starting in 2010.

Problem is, the government has covered all the bases.

Any attempt to stand up for the constitution will be labeled as insurrection or conspiracy to commit.

Any stand will be met with paramilitary troops (excuse me, police officers).

Take a look at the video. I like to watch it every so often just to keep myself outraged at the actions of the government.

Heck, everyone I know that voted for him, voted on that basis. Not a single one I asked could tell me WHAT was going to change. I also saw a few ‘on the street’ reporters asking voters the same question...no answers, just change.

Obama was voted for by a majority of folks with the mindset in Post #4

Obama is a student of FDR, and has studied Lincoln, and concerning this economic crisis all of his people researched what happened in Great Depression. So WHY haven’t they listened to even their own liberal Economists like those in this UCLA NEWS article published in 2004:

http://newsroom.ucla.edu/portal/ucla/FDR-s-Policies-Prolonged-Depression-5409.aspx?RelNum=5409

Read this article and pay attention to the comment about bad recessions....quote: “we found that a relapse isn’t likely unless lawmakers gum up a recovery with ill conceived stimulus policies.”

Intentional-—you bet.

"We are in the midst of the greatest crisis this nation has ever seen, and if we don't stop laughing about it and deal with it, we're going to find ourselves in the midst of chaos, confusion and civil war."

Thanks for the ping. Keyes has for many years been correct and convincing in his speeches and articles, for those few who bother to listen or read.

Unfortunately, not enough people will listen to reason until it is too late; until chaos, confusion, and civil war are in full swing. The insanity of the last election is proof of that.

You think that because someone chooses to stash a few weapons and ammo (just in case) that these people are in favor of starting a shootemup war?

What are you? a gun grabber?

Oh, and as a followup, watch someone come on by here and maintain that an armed revolution is either going to be necessary and/or is going to happen and that if I’m not prepared to engage in that armed revolution that I’ll be helping Obama... LOL...

And, one more thing, I was already on some threads talking about secession of states from the United States, which is the same thing as an armed revolution, because those people are saying they will “defend their right” to secede by means of their guns and ammunition, which is why it’s their right to have those things in the first place — in other words, to be prepared for an armed revolution....

I expect to see some of them here, engaging me in this discussion at any moment... LOL...
