Soldier doubts eligibility, defies president's orders

A U.S. soldier on active duty in Iraq has called President Obama an "impostor" in a statement in which he affirmed plans to join as plaintiff in a challenge to Obama's eligibility to be commander in chief.

The statement was publicized by California attorney Orly Taitz who, along with her Defend Our Freedom Foundation, is working on a series of legal cases seeking to uncover Obama's birth records and other documents that would reveal whether he meets the requirements of the U.S. Constitution.

"As an active-duty officer in the United States Army, I have grave concerns about the constitutional eligibility of Barack Hussein Obama to hold the office of president of the United States," wrote Scott Easterling in a "to-whom-it-may-concern" letter.

Send the case up to SCOTUS with a few thousand other members of the military. Let SCOTUS tell them they do not have standing or they do not have harm.

Lt Easterling has a point. We ALL have never seen the birth certificate. This is akin to attending a Physics class and the professor has no credentials whatsoever that entitles him to teach the class in the first place.

Boy, I agree with what you're trying to say, but you're violating your oath. You're history. The politico's and sycophant's above you will see to that.

We’ll see. Of course the MSM won’t cover it like they covered the liberal soldiers bashing Bush.

May God bless and watch over him.

"My conviction is such that I am compelled to join Dr. Orly Taitz's lawsuit, as a plaintiff, against Mr. Obama. As a citizen, it pains me to do this, but as an officer, my sworn oath to support and defend our Constitution requires this action," he said.

The name Scott Easterling checks out on the Army database as an active duty first lieutenant on recruiting duty in Tennessee. Looks legit to me.

Doesn’t he have standing? He must put his life on the line for the CIC. If he doesn’t have it then we’re hosed.

No.

Why should soldiers serve a fraud who repeatedly refuses to prove proof of his eligibility. A fraud who has multiple legal teams doing everything in their power plus the liberal press to make this go away.

We need to make sure EVERY member of the military knows about this. If you know any military or ex-military web site - post a link to the story.

My nephew is in the Marines, and I was picking on him about his new “boss”. He stated, “He’s not my ‘boss’. He’s a fraud”, and he indicated that there are many many more who hold the same sentiment.

This guy’s got guts. His oath is to the Constitution. This must put his immediate superiors in an uncomfortable situation.

It won't make it to the Supreme Court. It'll be handled by the Army judicial process.

Oh I don't doubt he's a commissioned officer in the Army or Army reserves. I just don't think this is going to go anywhere. The Army takes dim views of officers or enlisted who think they can decide what orders to obey and what not.

No one has standing in your Obama worship world. Every single citizen has standing to demand the president be a NBC. Every one.

Somehow none of the courts seem to agree with you. I guess they just don't have your legal know-how.
