Any news in the rumor mill about 401-k and IRA nationalization?

Guess all is well unless your SS is part of the cash move.

How about running in circles, screaming and shouting? Should I do that too?

When it happens it will be like in Argentina in 2001.
Not much of a warning for obvious reasons.

Question: What is the purpose of the last step of purchasing shares in the bank or bearer bonds?
Are the funds not safe simple in the account? If not, why not?

If it make you feel better.

I hate to say it, but you are doing the right thing. We became weak, and were conquered without a shot, and very few shouts.

Thanks for the Montreal tip for banking. We were looking at Swiss Francs and even Singapore or New Zealand. The Swiss may have problems too and the franc isn’t tracking all that well.
How much confidence do people have in the Canadian dollar?
We are mostly in cash, some still stuck in the market. We think we have maybe three months to work out the plan before things start reversing.
We were looking at stocks up until mid December, but I saw 7000 coming. And who knows what the bottom will be, the market sure isn’t voting for Obama.

"What Are You Doing to Protect You & Your Family From Obanomics (Abominomics)?" Our family has invested heavily in precious metals to combat Obamanomics...
Mainly Lead and Brass...

We hear about economic crisis all around the world, but I’ve heard very little about the state of Canadian economics. How is it?

Joining the ‘starve the beast’ crowd, pay minimal taxes as to make the debt-to-income ratio so sick even a democrat voter would wake to it. If President Einstein tanks the market, the spaghettio’s are stocked in the cupboard

Saw a guy on tv today. He was really proud about only losing 4% in the mutual fund he runs. Sick. He goes in cash while congress is in session and then the market when they are on vacation. Sick. Reminds me of gamblers who like to play even if they lose.
