Veterans Park, Lafayette, LA. Estimated crowd of 300-400 folks. Lots of veterans. Rousing speeches, many signs. No TV coverage, but newspaper was there and will post link to pics.
Good time had by all and the crowd was very fired up!

Boy I bet that party was fun! Went to USL in the late 70’s and early 80’s. Move to NYC after that. What a culture/or lack of culture shock that move became!
To: abb
I am surprised they just don't call the protest a Boucherie and roast a pig! LOL

Those pictures don’t really show how many were there. Looks like a lot of early shots before the speeches started. Overall, there was a decent turnout and everyone seemed to be of the same mood. A good start.
To: Uncle Sham
Sorry I didn’t get to meet you. I think everyone had a great time. Definitely a good start!!

Were you in any of the pictures? I’m in green in pic 6, Mrs. Sham is in pic 15 and 34.
To: Uncle Sham
I was in none of the pics. But when Leslie was speaking I was behind her next to the pickup truck. The fat white guy with thinning gray hair, lol!

BTW, we did get KATC coverage on the six o’clock local news. I think they were the only television folks out there.

Wow, we’re over in the Lake Charles area and missed it!!!!
There are several of us in our office that have been talking about a tea party and would probably have been there had we known.
We tilled up some ground for our garden today and reloaded a bunch of ammo, but we would have made the time to be there had we known. We’ll support ya 110% on future events.

Thank you so much for the link to the Louisiana Tea Parties on April 15th. We are discussing which to attend ... I’m leaning toward Baton Rouge because it’s at the capitol and that is more symbolic, but Shreveport is a shorter drive.

People in Lafayette are quite conservative and free-market oriented, but some still have a favorite government program here and there to defend to the death.

Yes, but the American people don’t know that and never will admit as such.
