Only thing I remember about Juarez (1878) was going down there on my “green bean” tour (no stripes on my USAF work uniform), drinking tequila, watching a stripper get humped by a guy in a gorilla costume and throwing up.

Ah, memories. Sounds like the town has really changed. You could pay me enough to live in El Paso or Las Cruces nowadays.

The news from Juarez saddens me. I lived in El Paso from 66-69, when I was in junior high. I loved it. And I have fond memories of going to Juarez to shop and eat.

In fact, it was so safe that my mom would take us five kids there during the summer, without my dad (he was at work at White Sands).
