Is the "John Galt" uprising a threat to our government? How fast is it growing and how does it stack up against Sarah Palin and Cold Fusion!
That’s it?
Here's the linkage to what the clueless posting apparently refers:

My 25 year old son just bought “Atlas Shrugged”. He tried to buy it locally, but it was sold out, so he ordered it online. I haven’t read it, but it’s time to do so.
All these Rand cult postings remind me of a game of Whack-a-mole.
For anyone who wants to read the book, the Cliffs Notes page has a spoiler on it! In fact, the description is something of a minor spoiler as well!

Thanks!
Have it on hold at the library .....waiting waiting waiting:)
Who is John Galt? (rhetorical)
Later I read The Fountainhead and found it difficult to believe it was written by the same author. It was later turned into a forgettable movie with Gary Cooper and Patricia Neal.
More importantly, WHERE is John Galt?
Look in the mirror.

Thx,
That’s one of the nicest compliments I ever got!
Um, no.
Three things you need to know in order to really understand the book:
The story isn’t fiction, it’s myth. The characters aren’t intended to be real people, they’re philosophical archetypes. And most importantly, YOU ARE NOT JOHN GALT. There is no one John Galt, he’s the personification of human creativity, not a single individual. There is a small minority that possesses the ability to create, and who might be said to have a little John Galt in them. The rest of us are more like Eddie Villiers: we can keep the system running, but can’t build it ourselves or fix it if it breaks.
(And then there’s the evil opposite of John Galt - the Antigalt.
Barak Obama hs no John Galt in him.)
A society that allows people’s inner John Galt to flourish will prosper. One that doesn’t, won’t. And that’s what the book is about.
