House Dems eyeing another stimulus bill By Jared Allen Posted: 03/10/09 12:55 PM [ET]

House Democrats are looking at yet another economic stimulus bill beyond the $787 billion one just enacted as investors and consumers continue to show little faith in the economy.

At a special meeting of the Democratic Steering and Policy Committee on Tuesday morning, Democrats heard again from their trusted band of economists and came away reinforced that Congress would need to spend billions of additional taxpayer dollars in the coming months to help pull the economy out its severe recession.

One proposal being considered is an additional economic stimulus bill. Just last month, President Obama signed a $787 billion stimulus measure that Democrats contended was needed to save or create 3.5 million jobs and that Republicans derided as nothing more than debt-spending on wasteful federal projects.

“We are going to need more taxpayer money,” Mark Zandi, the chief economist at Moody’s Economy.com and a key economic adviser to congressional Democrats, said after the meeting. “I think another stimulus package is a reasonable assumption because of the way things are going.”

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), standing with members of her leadership team by Zandi’s side, said she agreed that another stimulus bill is being considered.

“We have to keep the door open,” Pelosi said. “The word of the day is confidence. Confidence in our markets, confidence in lending, confidence in our financial institutions.”

We knew this was in the works because TARP and Porkzilla have failed miserably. In fact the ink wasn’t even dry on Porkzilla before they started talking about Porkzilla, the Sequel.

All of this proves one thing - spending OPM (other people’s money) is really, really fun . . . . . . ESPECIALLY when the people whose money you’re spending are too stupid to figure out what’s going on.

Tea party, anyone??

This is actually great news. I had thought that with all the problems with porkulous they would wise up and try to keep things quiet for a while. But now I see that they are hell bent on socialism now, socialism forever and nothing not a plummeting DOW or tea parties or sky high unemployment will stop them. I want them to fail and fail spectacularly. This will go a long way to bringing about the complete collapse of the oppressive, parasitic, socialist, federal government. Then we can go about rebuilding a government based on the constitution.

"“We are going to need more taxpayer money,” Mark Zandi, the chief economist at Moody’s Economy.com and a key economic adviser to congressional Democrats, said after the meeting."

But of course. You ARE Democrats aren't you? They ALWAYS need more taxpayers money.

As usual, all Democrat spending of taxpayers money accomplishes is increased taxes, and a demand for MORE taxpayers money.

Just like you can't run a pipe looping your cars exaust back into the intake maniforld to make your car run forever on one tank of gas,
Neither can you expect to spend taxpayers money (revenue) on government "jobs" to create new revenue.

It's revenue negative. Democrats just can't seem to get that through their thick brainless skulls.
