Fear-mongering rules the day (Rule 1: Never waste a crisis)

Imagine a child falls down a well. Now imagine I offer to lend the parents my ladder to save her, but only if they promise to paint my house. Would you applaud me for not letting a crisis go to waste? Or would you think I’m a jerk, for want of a harsher word not printable in this space?

I ask because I’m trying to come to terms with Rule No. 1 of the new administration.

“Rule 1: Never allow a crisis to go to waste,” White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel told the New York Times [NYT] right after the election. “They are opportunities to do big things.” Over the weekend, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton told an audience at the European Parliament, “Never waste a good crisis.” Then President Barack Obama explained in his Saturday radio and Internet address that there is “great opportunity in the midst of” the “great crisis” befalling America

I am beginning to think that the "bounty" from the ship of state (stimulus package) is nothing more than stolen goods from the taxpayers and their children. Some states are refusing to take the conditional stolen money. It is a bunch of thugs boldly taking money from the hardworking taxpayers, rewarding those who do nothing, and then punishing the taxpayers with higher taxes. "Joe the Plumber" has become a slave.

Mortgage defaults are rising because the people can smell government aid on its way, just like the 2 million illegals in 1988 became 20 million illegal immigrants in 2008.

Obama’s defenders respond to this argument by stating that the president’s motives are decent, noble and pure. He wants to help the uninsured and the poorly educated. He wants to make good on his vow to halt those rising oceans.

The problem is that Obama is using the ladder to enter the well to KILL THE CHILD, NOT TO SAVE HIM!

Then he insists that his objective was to save the child and he needs more money to take his ladder to save children everywhere. But, his true objective is to KILL CHILDREN EVERYWHERE, not to save them!

This is an economic analogy, that just happens to fit his social policy.

The Obammunists have a conflict of interest - they want to exaggerate and fan the flames of the economic crisis and class warfare to expand statist Nanny State policies purely for ideological reasons regardless of whether these policies are really needed.
