Odd, but I didn’t see any mention of Barney Frank in this story.

I believe that this story was recently posted with a mention of Barney Frank and his admonition to Maxine to ‘stay out of it’.

???

House Financial Services Committee Chairman Barney Frank (D-Mass.) said in an interview Thursday that he advised Waters last fall to "stay out of it" because he knew her husband had served on the bank board.

Maxine was also a Franklin Raines defender. She used the race card to deflect charges against him. She also used the race card to help prevent regulation and oversight of Fannie/Freddie.
