Obama Requires YOU to SERVE, H.R.1388, "The Give Act" to reform the National Service Laws

HR 1388, will hit the House floor on Tuesday.It is called the Generations Invigorating Volunteerism and Education Act (The Give Act.) The House is scheduled to Rule this week. Sponsored by Democrat Representative Carolyn McCarthy (NY), Education and Labor Committee. The objective is to reauthorize and reform the national service laws.

Democrat Rep. McCarthy is sponsoring the bill with 25 co-sponsors, ALL Democrats, including Charlie Rangel. Need I say more.

This is scary. This bill itself does not require service, but they want to create a commission to see if mandatory service could be enforced.

So far, nothing is surprising me. History repeats, and repeats, and repeats. Desperate times call for desperate measures.

The only part of this that I expect to play out in this downturn that does not “appear” to have started is a hot world war.

Problem is, I READ the words and saw them for what they were. Everyone else must have listened and inferred something other than what the words actually mean.

Guess what? AM Radio is starting to do PSA announcements for registering for selective service. This is something new as of last night.

I wonder if the all volunteer army is going to be messed with.... Seriesly.

Last night a PSA reminder to sign up at selective service (was on am radio). They’re up to something sneaky - again.

Stay out of states that have legal assisted suicide laws because people cannot change their mind or those in charge may be corrupt (what are the chances?)

We had selective service ads on AM Radio in the Washington (state) area during the Bush administration....I don’t think it’s anything new...
