3 cheers for Orly Taitz
WND ^ | 3/16/09 | Joe Farah

Posted on 03/16/2009 10:08:22 AM PDT by pissant

Southern California attorney Orly Taitz has emerged as a constitutional heroine in the fight to establish – albeit late – whether Barack Obama is even legally eligible to serve as president of the United States.

On Friday, she took the bold step of presenting Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts with a WND petition of some 330,000 names calling on all controlling legal authorities to do just that.

And she did it before 800 people at the University of Idaho where he was speaking.

I have to tell you, this lady is rapidly becoming one of my heroes.

This question of eligibility is quite a story – or, should I say, non-story.

Anyone who dares mention it is now demeaned as a "birther."

I'll accept the title, if a "birther" is anyone who believes the Constitution really means what it plainly says about the president needing to be a "natural born citizen."

The insults won't stop me or WND from covering this issue as we have throughout the campaign and since the election. It's not going away – not until we see the complete birth certificate instead of the certification of live birth, and get some answers to questions of obviously growing concern to millions of Americans.

So she didn’t go to the vaunted “haahvaard”? That’s what bothers you? I happen to know some haaahvaard lawyers who couldn’t shine the shoes of this lady. I don’t care if she got her degree from Tiddly Winks U. If she can pass a VERY difficult bar exam where most who take it flunk it in any given year....she OUGHT to be receiving your kudos and applause. But instead we seem to be seeing stuffy class warfare.

I’m sure NS swoons about Obama having his degree from Harvard. Shows you what kind of affirmative action morons the ivy league schools produce.

"Fact: The California bar exam is among the most difficult in the country with recent passage rates as low as 36%

California is the only state that allows graduates of non-accredited schools to take the bar exam, and that skews the figures. The first time pass rate for graduates of accredited law schools is 69%, which puts California around the national average. The first time pass rate for graduates of non-accredited schools is 25.9%, which is probably to be expected given the quality of their legal education. Add to that the fact that in California you can fail and retake the Bar exam as many times as you want. Statistics have shown that repeats have a much lower success rate as well.

According to them, the “Birth Certificate” was posted on-line back in July.

I don't know if it was or not, nobody has seen anything but an online copy. But I do know that nobody has come up with any evidence showing he was born anywhere but Hawaii.

She didn't even go to the vaunted "University of Phoenix". The fact is that she would be unable to get a law license in any state but California.

I happen to know some haaahvaard lawyers who couldn’t shine the shoes of this lady.

You base that on her impressive record as an attorney? Or her abilities as a dentist? Or her competence as a real estate agent?

If she can pass a VERY difficult bar exam where most who take it flunk it in any given year....she OUGHT to be receiving your kudos and applause.

Most of those who flunk it are people like herself, graduates from unaccredited universities. Califonrnia, being the only state that allows them to take the exam, has a lower passing percentage as a result. Close to 70% of those who graduate from "Haahvard" and other accredited schools pass on the first try.

Having degrees from the University of Illinois and Northwestern University myself, I look down on lesser schools like Occidental, Columbia, and Harvard.

You’ve been following this story all this time and you don’t understand that the marxist posted his COLB, not his birth certificate??

As for your evidence claim. There is at least as much evidence that he was not born in Hawaii as there is evidence he was. Evidence means little. We are asking for proof. And since you, in previous posts, admit that there is no structural or political mechanism to obtain that proof, that pretty much leaves it up to we the people to force the issue to the front burner.

I know it's been claimed to be a forgery, but that nobody has seen anything but an electric copy of it.

Like?

How do you get proof without evidence?

And you're doing a bang-up job of it.

Be that as it may. I’m a birther myself. No one has ever answered the question, why does a man spend thousands (or a million) to avoid producing a $12 document? I hope she succeeds in exposing him, if that is her objective.
Still, there are high standards of credibility to be met if a stranger wants believers to send Paypal “for the cause.”
After all, even lawyers can be shady. :)

An unaccredited online legal diploma mill in Santa Clara. Apparently only California recognizes their degrees and allows their graduates to take the bar exam.

No offense, but the accreditation status of the law school means nothing here - passing the bar exam is what matters.

Unless I'm mistaken, the ABA fiat on law school accrediation is a modern phenomenon, yet we somehow managed to produce competent lawyers in the past. Lincoln and Cooledge both read the law as an apprentice.

Yes, imagine a bunch of armed men showing up at your door "asking" you to change what you're doing, then asking "Pretty Please?"

Unfortunately my sometimes sarcastic sense of humor doesn't translate well into print, despite my best efforts at careful writing to avoid that.

If you had seen some of my previous posts on the 0bama birth certificate, you would realize I take it pretty seriously as well. I don't believe all the questions have been answered, but given that the liberal Establishment is going to block, smear, defame or even threaten anyone who pursues the issue (hence the joke of which you disapprove), I don't believe we'll ever see the truth of the matter.

Look at how much stuff was splattered on the Clintons' and they're still free and rich. Or Rod Blagojevich, or Roland Burris, or Bill Ayers, etc. Forgive my cynicism, it's just hard to have hope in the face of the history of Democrat obstruction of justice.

I don’t approve of the joke because I know they will do the things you said. Hence, it isn’t a joke. And that reality is all the more reason we all need to be out there ensuring every avenue is persued to stop this.

And I agree, the fact that Clinton, Kennedy, Kissinger, Blagojevich (just got a book deal, no? Hence he is being paid off?), Soros, or Bill Ayers are still running around free is a disgrace and should be a stern warning to all, this gang has a colors. We don’t have until 2012. There will never be a 2012 in any traditional sense that we once knew.

I know it's been claimed to be a forgery, but that nobody has seen anything but an electric copy of it.

Regardless if it is a forgery or not, it is a COLB, not an original birth certificate. Though I'm convinced it is a forgery, I don't expect Obammarhoids to conclude such, regardless of the evidence.

Like?

Obama's website fessed up that he was a Kenyan Citizen until it expired in 1982. If he was born in the US to an American mother, he would have been a US citizen, not Kenyan

Investigative research by Berg's team found he was born in Mombassa.

Kenyan ambassador Orego told an interviewer that his birthplace in Kenya was "well known" before the Obamrroids got a hold of him and had him recant.

Granny Obama and other relatives claimed she was at his Kenyan birth.

Now I don't know how good this evidence is. All I know it it superior evidence than anything I've seen regarding being Hawaiian born.

The burden of proof is on Obama, not those who demand proof. Especially when you consider that "proof" is available for $10.

How can you be sure it's a forgery without ever seeing the actual document?

Obama's website fessed up that he was a Kenyan Citizen until it expired in 1982. If he was born in the US to an American mother, he would have been a US citizen, not Kenyan.

Under the laws of the time if he was born in the U.S. to an American mother and a Kenyan father then he would be a dual citizen - U.S. and Kenya. And he hasn't denied that fact. But his Kenyan citizenship lapsed at age 18 when he didn't give up his U.S. citizenship.

Investigative research by Berg's team found he was born in Mombassa.

Oh yeah? And where is this 'investigative research' available at?

Kenyan ambassador Orego told an interviewer that his birthplace in Kenya was "well known" before the Obamrroids got a hold of him and had him recant.

I've seen trascripts of that and heard the audio and nowhere does the ambassador come out and say Obama was born in Kenya. In fact, it's pretty clear he's referring to his ancestral home, which is why the ambassador repudiated any suggestions to the contrary.

Granny Obama and other relatives claimed she was at his Kenyan birth.

That would be based on the Berg affidavit? The one claiming the interview was done in Swahili? A language Obama's grandmother doesn't speak? Got a link to it?

Now I don't know how good this evidence is. All I know it it superior evidence than anything I've seen regarding being Hawaiian born. How do you explain the birth notices in both Honolulu newspapers on August 13, 1961?
