The New Orleans Police Department is advising the public to be on the look out for a man impersonating a law enforcement officer who forced his way into two homes over the past two days, forcing his victims disrobe and then demanding drugs before fleeing, according to NOPD spokeswoman Sabrina Richardson.
In one case, he fondled the victim, Richardson said.
On both occasions the suspect was dressed in a dark blue uniform style shirt with an unknown type of patch, she said.
Police did not indicate where the incidents occurred, but said the first incident happened Sunday. The suspect told the victim to get into his vehicle because "I'm the police," Richardson said.
The man then drove to the victim's residence and entered her home, Richardson said. Once inside, he forced the victim to remove her clothing and asked, "where are the drugs?" she said.
When the victim told him she did not know where any drugs were, the suspect then fled, Richardson said.
In the second case, which occurred Monday night, the suspect drove up to the victim's residence and used his uniform to gain entry, Richardson said.
Once inside, she said, he again made the victim remove all of her clothing and asked "where are the drugs?"
When the victim told him she didn't have any knowledge of narcotics, the suspect fondled her body before fleeing the scene, Richardson said.
It is not clear if the suspect was wearing a law enforcement or security officer uniform, Richardson said.
He is described as standing between 5 feet 9 inches and 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing about 200 pounds with a muscular build and clean-shaven with a low haircut, she said.
His vehicle is described as a dark colored S.U.V., the exact make and model unknown, she said.

At least he’s not in a FEMA uniform.
>> There is no race givin
They mentioned the race of the SUV, though.
That describes over half the police department in NOLA.
Based on what I’ve personally seen, and what I’ve read, I wouldn’t be surprised this perp is a NOLA LEO, folks.
NOLA’s police department is corrupt as the day is long, always has been, still is, and will be a decade from now.
You're being far too generous.
Nice description. Might as well drop a dime on the next police officer you see, regardless of race. Might kick somebody in the ass to force the newspaper to give a decent description next time.
You're being far too generous.
Sounds like the voice of experience. Hey, I was nearly run down by taxi in front of the Dome. A cop was reading the Times Pic and never even looked up. I said, "Did you see that, he nearly hit my son and me!!" Blank stare...they are worthless.
Chocolate colored?
Real NOLA police officers do not flee.
Its an epidemic.....a couple of months ago, a man impersonating a President forced his way into the White House, and swears he won’t leave for at least 4 years.
This is not the first guy to impersonate a NOLA police officer. It seems many do that, even those on the payroll.
It’s official! The radio station said he is a black male.
Thank God they didn't describe the race of the suspect, as it could possibly lead to his capture, and likely offend many.
>> The radio station said he is a black male.
Well knock me over with a feather! In the Chocolate City of Love? Get out! :-)
I think two former NOLA cops are currently on death row...
