Obama is not opposed to restricting adult stem cell research, because the same executive order which gives funding to embryonic stem cell research takes away funding from adult stem cell research. This is a senseless move on the part of the president; the only stem cell research he is interested in funding is precisely the most dangerous kind, the only kind that a large segment of the population is opposed to on moral grounds, and the only one that has consistently failed to produce the promised ‘miracle cure’ results. If he were really concerned about life-saving medical advances, as opposed to pro-abortion ideology, he would hardly have undermined the research with proven benefits...

When I realized that the abortion issue was all about not bothering the consciences of those that have already been involved in abortion,

Yup- just gotta murder htose children- Not only are adult stem cells not as dangerous and tumor/cancer causing potential as embrionic stem cells, but scientists have developed a way to get adult stems cells to change to embrionic ones, or mimic embrionic ones- Did we hear any of htis in obama’;sd speech o nthe merits of destroying embryos? Nope- not a word- Just gotta murder htose children- no other alternative is acceptable t o an extreme liberal socialist!
Disgusting, isn’t it? And these same people call the GOP ‘Hateful’? Cripes- you can’t get any more hateful than to blatantly attack the morals of the majority in htis country, and to stop funding for the more promissing research to fund the one that causes all manner of health problems when the cells mature. The dems coudl not wait to get into the majority just so they could stick it to those with moral values- Yay democracy!
It really is hard to understand how anyone knowledgeable of the facts could support embryonic stem cell research. Even if someone is ambivalent about the issue and about abortio you'd think the evidence would make them lean in factor of focusing on adult and cord cell research first. There is truly a conspiracy of malice and evil at work here that transcends rational consideration.
