WASHINGTON, March 19 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Please find, below, the statement of Democratic National Committee communications director Brad Woodhouse on Governor Sarah Palin's decision to reject over $500 million in federal funds due the state of Alaska under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act:
"After soliciting and accepting more federal dollars per capita than any other governor in the union, Sarah Palin's decision today to deny the state of Alaska over half a billion dollars in recovery and reinvestment funds - including millions for schools, energy and public safety - appears to be nothing more than political posturing. At a time when her state is suffering, Alaska's working families cannot afford a governor that puts her political future ahead of the needs of the state and its families."

How dare she refuse a pig in a poke?
Oh, Sara’s special...the dims are scared sh!tless of what Sarah’s going to bring to 2012!
The libs cry loudly when you reject the bait of dependency.
Good for Palin!
Yes, she did, but Dims did not realize that it was going to be a “joint” project and that Palin had to kill it at the State level, and deal with Stevens and with the Alaska Legislature at the same time!
But now?
Enough money to build SEVERAL bridges to no where and Palin accepts the public works, that she can control, but rejects the money that has federal strings attached? They are mad that she is standing up to Obama --- Because now they can not say that Palin TOOK "Obama's" money!!
Not hard to do, when your state has only about 650,000 people in it.
Sarah is up for re-election in 2010, which is next year.
Plus they know she is still the leading candidate for the GOP in 2012.
So the Dems want to start preparing the battlefield.
Screw the Democrat party. And their leader, TOTUS, too.
Thank you! This statement from the DemocRATS is nothing more than political posturing.
*snerk*
Her state has a budget SURPLUS as of last year, because she resisted the urge to spend when oil prices were high. Now that oil revenues have lessened, that surplus will come in handy...but tightening the belt is still a necessity in a recession.
The Democrats are criticizing a governor for showing fiscal responsibility.
*snicker*
Hoo, my oh my.
Hey Brad, STFU!
Sarah Scares ‘em!
Matter of fact, the rabid masses of the liberal/socialist/democRAT party don't see anything hypocritical with their statement. Why? Because they are living in their mama's basement, mentally (and physically) masturbating the time away. Oblivious to reality.
Poor things...
5.56mm
Arnie was crowing today about how wonderful Obama was to give himn $85 Billion of our $$$ for Kalifornia.... so who’s the better manager here? I say Sarah!
Good question. Mississippi is rejecting it as well... Isn’t SC and LA, too?
OK SO WHERE IS THAT IDIOT MICHAEL STEELE’S STATEMENT DENOUNCING THAT UGLY SOCIALIST DNC BITCH?
I don’t see the democrats going after other Govs. the way
they do Gov. Palin.
You know they are afraid of Gov. Palin like no other
as she is the one who can beat Obama.
Gov. Sarah Palin, the adult Conservative.
The biggest hypocrites in the history of the world. They want her to take the money so they can rip into her for taking it and making the government bigger. She rejects it and it’s political posturing. In the meantime the Zero is appearing on talk shows in constant campaign mode. It’s almost laughable, except that it’s so sad. They hate that she is one of the few who can see through all the smoke and mirrors and sees all the strings attached to this money. I wish she were the President instead of this load of crap dressed in an Armani suit we have now
