My primary residence is free and clear. I purchased a 2nd house in 2005 with my income tax refund (just the down payment). I can afford the mortgage even if it is vacant. I have my middle son in the house right now. When he moves along, I'll rent it again. I turn 53 this year, so I still have a few years before wearing the label "senior citizen".
I meant that the kids will march in lockstep with Obama insofar as his policies remain “entitlement-centered”. Once Obomba calls for these kids to enlist in his “obama youth gestapo corps”, THEN he will feel the backlash of his indolent constituency...
We went to different schools together.
My “2nd” house is the house that we grew up in.
I bought it off when dad died and mom kept living there until she died.
Now, my 1st son lives there. - Yes, he has to pay rent.
I have children younger than my grandkids. :)

I put my son up in the 2nd house shortly after the Mexican Mafia executed someone 100 ft from his front door. His real estate business had crashed and it was taking everything thing he could earn just to stay even. I took the weight of a car payment and housing off his shoulders so he can recover financially. He is making excellent progress. It's nice to have him living nearby as well. The current economy is no bed of roses for anyone.
I still have no grand kids. Someday.
Where are they going to put all these camps? How big are they going to be? And how can they get everyone in there for three years!?!?!?
Have none of these idiots thought this thing through? The logistics alone make it impractical, not to mention dealing with all the people who are going to resist doing this.
Since it's three years of *volunteer* service, who's going to be supporting the family and paying the bills? Who's going to be taking care of the property and kids? What about people with health issues? What kind of service are they expected to give?
This whole thing is NOT feasible by any stretch of the imagination and if common sense does not play into our politicians decision that *mandatory volunteer* is not really volunteer, perhaps the problems with the practical aspects can get through to them.

These corrupt men (over 2,300 of them) control the world economy. They also control American politics. They are responsible for the economic meltdown. The vote yesterday came on H.R. 1388, which reauthorizes through 2014 the National and Community Service Act of 1990 and the Domestic Volunteer Service Act of 1973, acts that originally, among other programs, funded the AmeriCorps and the National Senior Service Corps.
The source is WND, which used to be routinely laughed off of FR. When I posted from LiveLeak last week, with the caveat the post was a rumor, still the article was derided and consigned to "Conspiracy." This interpretive article is left in Breaking News.
Sure, the administration may have plans to alter these programs, but any discussion of that is speculation at this point.
