Has PETA gone too far? Word is that last week the animal rights activists showed up unannounced and uninvited at a Hempstead elementary school, chosen for its proximity to the Nassau Coliseum, where Ringling Bros. Circus sets up shop starting tomorrow. Their plan was to school the children in circus cruelty, handing out stickers and coloring books that declared, "Circuses are no fun for animals." While this may be true, many are criticizing the organization for their tactics, saying their method is inappropriate—a psychologist noted that the children "might go home and be very anxious" because they "are less mature in their cognitive process."
One PETA member was dressed as an elephant with its arm in a sling, handing out the coloring book that included a cartoon that read: "Elephants are trained or punished with sharp pointed hooks or whips. These giant creatures have sensitive skin and feel great pain from this treatment." What's next, telling them that Santa's reindeer are being mistreated? However, at least one 9-year-old girl decided she would "not want to see any animal beaten for not doing the right thing."
Meanwhile, Ringling Bros. reps maintain that their animals are "healthy and well cared for by a team of full-time veterinarians and an animal care staff that works to ensure that the animals have an enriching and safe environment." Read president of the HSUS's blog addressing a recent lawsuit with charges made against Ringling for their routine handling practices of elephants that include the use of bullhooks, chaining, and confinement that violates the Endangered Species Act.

Just like the obama reichzinger storm troopers or the code pinkos who drag their kids along to share in their hate.
It is only a matter of time before someone in PETA gets punched or shot. I am NOT advocating it, but I do know that messing with someone’s kids will get you punched or shot, and that seems to be PETA’s latest tack.

I think it would be kinda cool to dress up in a doggie costume, walk up to a costumed PETA clown, shake his/her/its hand, and then drop down to all fours, pee on them, and crawl away.
Or have two people in doggie costumes crawl up to the PETA demonstration, begin “doing the dirty” right next to them, and have a plant — middle aged guy in a wife beater and slippers — come out of the crowd and whack them with a rolled up newspaper.
What do they call that? “Street Theatre”?
Isn’t PETA that bunch of liberal morons who “rescue” animals by killing them and throwing them in dumpsters?
If I lived in Hempstead, I would make a point of walking my kid to school, so I could meet up with one of these guys and knock him on his ass. As liberal as the courts are, I doubt that anybody has the right to prosletyze to minors outside of schools and without parents permission. If they do, I may just set a Conservative Free Lemonade stand in my neighborhood.

Just damn. I never get to see any of the “good stuff”. Just the ones in the stupid “sea kitten” and “porpoise” suits.
Better still, take a hibachi and start grilling hamburgers and steaks next to the jerks.
You might tramuatize the kids if you beat the crap out of a guy wearing an elephant costume...

Now if only someone can come up with a way to get PETA and the Westboro Baptist church to protest the same event. They would probably start fighting. No matter who loses, we win.
My elephant suit wasn’t so creepy when I dressed like this. Those eyes are just too small. My suit had big eyes and he wore a College Republican button instead of PETA propaganda.
I guess PETA would say it would be cruel to depict an elephant with a button pinned to his sensitive skin, but I thought it was cruel to have to wear this in Texas in August.
