South Bend, IN -- Leading pro-life Catholics are calling on Notre Dame University to rescind its invitation to pro-abortion President Barack Obama, who is slated to give the college's commencement address to graduation seniors on May 17. They say a Catholic college should not be giving a platform to an abortion advocate.
Joe Scheidler, a Notre Dame graduate and the founder of the Pro-Life Action League, is outraged that his alma mater would allow Obama to address graduates of what is supposed to be an institution of higher learning steeped in the Catholic traditions.

Steve - this is stunning. More proof that the delusion has been sent.
Let’s not let him off easy by labelling him as “pro-abortion”.
Hillary is “pro-abortion”.
But even Hillary isn’t pro-infanticide.
Sometimes I get the impression that all that’s left as a solution is violence.
How sad.
Excommunicating the whole graduating class would put a stop to this sort of thing.
I agree with you, but sadly, the fool was invited there.
Shame on those who pretend to be Catholics and promote this supporter of infanticide.
It’s a great set up, someone could sabotage the teleprompter. When that ever happens, Telly Prompter will get his own Secret Service detail and a code name.

For what it’s worth, Jenkins has his master of divinity and licentiate in sacred theology from the Jesuit School of Theology at Berkeley.
This should tell us something.
I think we are smarter than that.
Some drink their own urine.
Agreed...It’s outrage...I don’t know how one would go about protesting this inside the RCC since I’m not a Catholic, but I’d support any and every RCC member who pushes their Priest/Bishop/Arch-Bishop on up to get the Pope himself to put the smack down on stopping this...it’s THAT important in my view.
I see abortion as the start of all disregarding of God’s will in the world. If we can play God at the very beginning of life, what possible difference can it make if we do so as life moves on...if it’s not valued and respected right away, it never truly is valued and respected later on...I simply hate the practice of abortion.
No such place in this country. It's the University of Notre Dame.
Looks like they are planning on spoiling a lot of peoples' graduations.
There are still some good Catholics at Notre Dame, on the faculty and among the students, but unfortunately they have had some really lousy presidents, and as a result there are a lot of problems.
Isn’t Notre Dame is a Catholic school?
