So sorry to come to this so late, but have gone through this just this last month with my dad. May Common Tator find love filling his heart and mind. Dad did. His was a family-healing time. I pray CT’s faith is strong; God, the father of us all, will carry him through any burden. Bless you, Lisa for keeping us all informed.

Hello all. When I was talking to Ray on the phone yesterday, and told him about all the thoughts and prayers sent to me, he was overwhelmed. He said he would love to post something, and I told him I would write it down, and get it on here. Besides his thanks for all the well wishes, he, of course, being CT, wanted to make a polit[ic]al statement. With the gracious help of AF Phys, who is and always has been, one of Ray's favorite FReepers made sense of my scribblings. So below is the post, what I was able to convey what Ray was telling me, clarified by AF Phys. Whether you agree or not, this was a joint effort, and I am so glad that I can get Ray's words on here again.

With great respect for CommonTator, I took notes scribed by Lisa from her phone conversation with him. I've done my best to flesh those notes out in the direction I believe he was heading to smoothly argue for that truth. In the process, I've expanded the notes by about a factor of four. Areas between [*** . . . ] I've added for clarification, not simply as interpretation of Lisa's notes. I've done my best to be true to his direction, and any failure in this presentation to effectively argue or present his points with his typical eloquence is solely mine. I want to thank everyone who read and posted to this thread. I’ve been monitoring it closely for the purpose of answering questions or critiques about CommonTator’s points, and will jump in quickly if I see anything mentioned that I may not have made clear enough, or to address any errors or misstatements. I thank everyone for accepting these as CommonTator’s words, not mine, even though I could not really reflect his style.

Short term solutions are going to make the problem worse in the end. The only way that's not going to happen is if some Deus ex Machina - cold fusion or the equivalent comes on the scene.

Short of that - liberal solutions will produce what they always do - great misery and despair.

Unfortunately the great depression is something few of us remember and the lessons of it seemingly are considered to be of no import in our current situation.

Nothing could be further from the truth. The younger members of our society by and large do not want to know about events that happened to America 80 years ago. Big mistake. It is essentially the same thing all over again ... magnified by about 10 times ... maybe twice that number.

We are walking the path of our lives being in totally controlled by a Socialist/Marxist/Communist government ... in all areas of our life, oppression to our freedoms, persecution for being Christian, discarded for being too old, sold lies about global warming, carbon emissions, having our exploration for oil curtailed to the point of creating a true shortage and sky rocketing prices again; our children taken over by the state, educated with evil intent, our guns collected, and/or ammunition the same, a police state is coming. Where is the resistance? Who is standing their ground? Where is the line drawn in the sand? The One World government is almost upon us. We will pay the price for the whole world's costs; and we too will be a third world country.

Believe it or not ... it is closer than you think. We must stop this madness as best we can.
