NY Times’ Latest Service at Altar of Obama

In a mainstream media with a mad crush on the messiah in the White House, none can come close to matching the adoration of The New York Times.

Reporting on the president’s Tuesday evening address in today’s paper, America’s newspaper of wretched gushed, “Americans saw not the fiery and inspirational speaker who riveted the nation in his address to Congress last month, or the conversational president who warmly engaged Americans in talk shows across the country, or even the jaunty, jokey president who showed up on Jay Leno,” but Barack the “professor in chief, offering familiar arguments in long paragraphs” (emphasis added to highlight the worshipful tone).

Said feeble attempt at journalism is in the service of the administration’s efforts to sell its great leap toward socialism to the American people, as well as to counter the observation that when he’s separated from his teleprompter, the president can barely get out a coherent thought.

I watched O’Reilly after the speech, err, presser for the first time in at least a year. He seems to have the same tingle for Obama as Chris Matthews. I wanted to yell at the screen for him praising Obama’s intelligence while shouting down one of the smartest politicians of my lifetime, Newt Gingrich. O’Reilly comes off as a simpleton these days. Has he changed his schtick to attract Obama-adoring morons to his audience?

But most of all he is raising stock values...the stock of Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton and anyone else you might have thought of as a really bad president before the O cinched his position as the worst of all time.

You know, Carling...I'm not certain was's up with O'Reilly, but, first, I think he was pretty smitten with obama [Believe it or not, it seems to be wearing off some of lately.

Secondly, yes, I definitely think he is trying to attract some of the obama worshiping lemmings, he LOVES being #1 in the cable news ratings!

Thirdly, and perhaps more important, I think he is absolutely scared senseless of being accused of being a racist! He has been called a racist by several of the hate groups, moveon.org, for one. Now, egotistical, bloviating, often times obnoxious he definitely is, but, racist, I don't at all think that to be the case. But it terrifies him to think he might be pinned with that title and it thus colors EVERYTHING he says about the one!

but I wonder if Obama will end up getting ‘credit’ for whatever feeble recovery happens, and the media cover for him like they did for Clinton and he somehow makes it to another term.
