The same old, same old is handing the nomination to RINO's like McCain or Bob Dole because it is "their" turn. The new is giving us exciting candidates like Sarah Palin or Mark Sanford who can actually explain our message.
Mr. Steele, if you need any help in this department, ask Ken Blackwell who actually understands our values, what we stand for and what we should represent. You know, the guy you barely beat out because some of us thought you were a better communicator.

Of the many disappointments I have had with the shambles of the Conservative movement, Steele is the deepest.

GOP chief Steele:
We lost our minds Indeed - They put you in charge.
To: rabscuttle385
He’s pretty terrible with choosing soundbite-friendly words:
“If you want to complain and moan and groan about everything going on,” Steele said, “theres the door... We started drinking from that wonderful Potomac River” when in charge of Congress and the White House, Steele joked. “We got that Potomac fever, and we lost our minds.”
He sorta seems to be showing RINOs the door, but the statement is painfully ambiguous. I’m thinking Steele shouldn’t EVER open his mouth in public until he learns a LOT more about the press.

GOP politicians who think RINO’s represent a winning strategy have lost their minds. Conservative republicans haven’t.

His comments really don’t seem all that controversial—I don’t think we can argue with the above, for example. This certainly isn’t another Limbaugh moment for Steele.

GOP chief Steele: We lost our minds They've also lost guys like me. I've been voting almost straight line Republican since I became eligible to vote in 1973.
I'm voting conservative, if the Republicans want to run conservatives I'll happily vote for them, but no more rinos or moderates.
Living in Minnesota, so far only my local state Rep and Senator fill the bill.

"If you want to complain and moan and groan about everything going on," Steele said, "theres the door." So, criticism, disagreement, or discussion about the future is no longer tolerated in Steele's GOP?
Is this the equivalent of McCain's "Shut up and take it"?
Why doesn't he just say
"All mindless sheep who will vote as they are told are welcome--everyone else, get lost"

He's really getting off on the left foot, isn't he!
His job is to shut his mouth, work quietly on healing divisions.....AND DON'T AIR ALL THE DIRTY LAUNDRY IN PUBLIC!
The enemy is the Obama mafia, NOT Republicans and conservatives who may be (rightfully) complaining, you moron.
Steele has no finesse. A chairman's job needs finesse. The clumsy-looking, mindless, charging rhino at the top of the thread is an adequate representation of what we're stuck with.
