ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - An already close race in New York's 20th Congressional District just got as close as it can possibly get: The state Board of Elections says the candidates are separated by zero votes.
Republican Jim Tedisco and Democrat Scott Murphy are tied with 77,225 votes each on Friday. They're running to replace Kirsten Gillibrand, who was appointed to the U.S. Senate.
The race will come down to absentee votes, with the elections board reporting 3,000 ballots returned so far from Republicans and about 2,200 from Democrats.
Party registration doesn't guarantee a vote. Most absentee ballots won't be counted until April 7. Overseas ballots can be returned until April 13.
Counties also have 940 ballots back from absentee voters not registered as Republican or Democrat.
I’m sure the Democrats will find enough ballots in someones closet or car trunk somewhere to put them over the top.
Ring, Ring, Ring-——Hello, Acorn? This is the DNC.
Hey, it worked in WA state where the totals were tallied county by county until the largest and bluest county had its opportunity to count and report, multiple times -- and somehow the tallies always favored the Ds more and more.
The ballot box is broken and anyone who relies on it is a fool.

Well now, there’s your election right there. A last minute flood of ballots and — who’dve thunk it? — most of them for the ‘Rat.
Was this a Democrat district?
Isn’t there an issue with the timing of the overseas ballots, mostly from our troops? I heard something that the deadline isn’t far enough out to get the ballots back.
As voting machines are re-canvassed, Assembly Minority Leader Jim Tedisco has picked up 37 votes, evaporating Democrat Scott Murphy’s lead in the race to replace Kirsten Gillibrand in Congress, according to county election officials who are conducting a recanvass.
Tedisco now has 77,236; Murphy has 77,224.

You can expect the little rodents with their ACORNS trying to steal this one too.
The fact that it IS so close is discouraging.
The republican has been gaining, it is now tied, therefor, the democrat will win.
Should we act surprised? The Republican could be up by 20% and the Dems would do everything in their power to “generate” the votes to win it.
And how many elections where the count is a statistical dead-heat have Republicans actually been declared the winner? 2000 POTUS election?
I’m fairly certain Tedisco will win and not be a small margin.
The number of GOP absentees continue to climb. It is at 3000 now which is about 500 more than the Dems. Tedisco has this in the bag.
So let me get this straight they have the same number of votes-sounds fishy to me
I have so little faith in New Yorkers that I am sure you are right. Louisiana now has more Republicans in the U.S. House than NY state!
Democrats can say their candidate won becaquse “all” the Republican voted, but many of the Democrats stayed home and would have otherwise voted Democraqt. The American sheeple might easily buy such a non-argument.
Of course, even if you are hopefully right, this will have NO impact on the immnent collapse of the USA.
I will be shocked if the Dem loses this election. It won’t happen, though, so I don’t expect to be shocked.
The Dem won by 23% in November.
Maybe we should learn from Louisiana Repubs. It hasn’t been too many years since you never heard of a Republican getting elected to anything in Louisiana, it was wall to wall dims and exceddingly crooked dims at that (yeah sorta like now in USA). The LA Republicans found a way and did not give up, we conservatives even if without a RINO Republican Party, can over come and again prevail.
There are lots of good conservative grass roots organizations starting up, join in, don’t just wait for someone else to do it for you. Together we can win America back.
Actually, ballot fraud/manipulation is rare in our area. Although, with the media jump to the left just prior to the ‘04 elections, anything is possible.
