Mark Levin Writes the Most Important Book of the Year
Pajamas Media ^ | April 4 | Bernard Chapin

“We conservatives need to get busy,” argues Mark Levin in the conclusion to his magnificent new book, Liberty and Tyranny: A Conservative Manifesto. The author’s advice is accurate but also a massive understatement. The year 2009 finds the statists no longer at the gate but advancing well beyond it. Their machinations jeopardize our financial viability and the new crew leading us appears to know less about making an economy work than the Chinese.

Given the state of the country and the Democratic Party’s stranglehold on government, the challenge to the political right has never been greater. Conservatives desperately seek answers as a leftist Leviathan vacuums up huge sectors of our once (mostly) free economy.

In light of events, Liberty and Tyranny proves timely. Its narrator urges a return to basics. Republicans must learn to speak the language of conservatism and offer the public a true choice at the ballot box. ..

How did you like it?

I’m thinking about getting it for a ten year old.

I fear capitalism will become extinct.

Would this book be appropriate?

“The year 2009 finds the statists no longer at the gate but advancing well beyond it.”
Somebody has been sound asleep for the past few decades. The statists have been in control for a long, long time. What has happened over the last few months is nothing new. Just a continuation, an acceleration.

I just bought it yesterday and am only into it a few pages. A ten year old would find it a tough read.

The section of the book on DDT was very informative. I did not realize how many millions of lives it saved.

just walk down to your local bookstore, grab it off the shelf, pull out your wallet, and slap down the cash. :-). LOL. That is what I did and boy was it well worth. Call to see if they have stock at your local bookstore. Great read!

No copies anywhere around here in leftist haven of L.A. I believe each bookstore perhaps ordered two copies so naturally they are “sold out.” I mean, why would they order more? We only have a couple of likely readers here in Obamabot-land (they WISH!).

Bought my copy via Amazon but am still awaiting delivery — should be next week, they claim. I wish Mark would do a book-signing visit to the left coast — even just one or two cities would be great. Thousands came from all over So. Cal. to see Sarah Palin before the election — they would do the same to meet Mark and buy his book - guaranteed!
